If you've read the sidebar and abide by the posting rules, this post is not for you.

If you're new, read on.

We have this excellent sidebar full of great stuff that everyone should read. It will give you a wonderful introduction to the theory that gets discussed here.

But it's painfully obvious that a lot of you haven't even bothered to read the damn thing.

Starting from now, I will ban people who post things that are in clear violation of the posting rules. That shows me that you haven't even read the first link on the sidebar. That shows me that you didn't learn the basics of the TRP model of sexual strategy and therefore you cannot possibly contribute constructively to discussion. Furthermore, your style of superficial voting and posting is likely fucking up the signal to noise ratio.

This community is based on the reddit platform, but I do not want the current, low-effort, drive-by posting of reddit culture to invade our space.

The other mods may be more lenient with rule breaking submissions, but I'm going to be a hardass about this.

TL;DR: Read the sidebar, dummies.

Plain and simple... The red pill describes behavior based on our biological imperatives as men and women... The majority of answers to questions about men can be summarized "because testosterone" or more specifically the desire to mate and protect. A lot of questions about women can be summarized as "because estrogen" or more specifically, the desire and attraction to high testosterone men and the desire for a provider. TRP first asks you to accept these basic ideas and some simple extensions of behavior because of these biological impulses. This differs from the Disney style story of life that society pushes, which feels much nicer than the reality of human desires. This acceptance path creates a loss of something you held as fundamental in your beliefs before. Thus causes you to go through the stages of grief and that is where the anger comes from that everyone latches onto when denouncing TRP. It's accepted here because it's post of the healing process. Now, what does TRP actually promote? It promotes the idea that you can improve your time with women and with society by focusing on self improvement. Hit the gym, groom yourself properly, dress nice, be confident, have good posture, be fearless, take chances, talk to women, say what you mean, don't apologize needlessly, be strong, hold frame(demonstrate leadership) and recognize when people are testing your resolve. None of these things are anything to get upset over or bat an eye at... If it were presented as any other form of self help, it would be largely ignored, but because it's tied into sexuality, people decry it to the point that the blue pill was created for no reason other than to oppose these beliefs, which is a sad existence IMO.

I will also note that while phrases like AWALT are said here often, they are grossly misrepresented in that they are referring to the biological drives to behave in certain ways. This is in no way saying that they cannot think rationally or act in conflict with that their body desires, but as with most things, you expect the worst and hope for the best.

Personally, I've found these actions and behaviors to be exceptionally beneficial in my life and in discussion, I've found what trips people up the most is the vernacular used here, as the highly visual language stirs up negative thoughts and emotions, causing people to miss the message entirely or jump to the conclusion that these ideologies are inherently misogynistic, which is honestly anything but that. If anything, it holds women responsible for their actions, and trusts their government that they'll do what they feel is in their best interest and to not tell them how they feel or what they should think...

I know what TRP is. I've been reading it for a long time. I've gone over everything in the sidebar under 'required reading' at least once, unless it's been updated since then. I wasn't here to stir shit, just to state a disagreement with one of the users. However, since you were kind enough to type out your opinion, I'll respond with mine.

If this was all TRP was, yes, I think you'd see a much smaller showing of distaste for it. But that's not all TRP is. It's not just self-improvement and figuring out behavioral patterns. For example... what are TRP's political thoughts? All it takes is one quick search of a relevant topic, like "feminism".

Or how about seeing what people on TRP like most? That should be easy as well. Go to the top of all time posts. Lots of revenge story-porn.

If you look up "rape" there's around as many posts about deriding or judging women as there are "why women do this" kind of posts.

For a more specific and recent example of why people are put off by the sub and why I reject the claim that it's about self-improvement, look no further than the front page. The one with the knife attack. A woman gets assaulted and is upset that no one helped her and the top comments are basically "Well, if feminism wasn't around and I wasn't scared that chick would accuse me of attacking her this wouldn't have happened now would it? Enjoy that freedom, gurl!".

There's a lack of empathy there that strikes a cord with people when they read this sub, and it's not just that one post. It's not an isolated incident. It's a constant tone of mocking victims and encouraging victimizers that freaks people the hell out.

If a woman takes a bunch of drugs and goes home with a total stranger and then get rapes- who is at fault?

Obviously the rapist is ALWAYS responsible for rape.

But to pretend that somehow this woman's actions are now above scrutiny is just trying to give vaginas a free pass because you live in a world where women can do no wrong.

She's fucking stupid for having done what she did, and that rape was avoidable.

We're not on a forum dedicating to calling victims on the phone and telling them they're stupid. We're on a forum dedicated to discussing strategies in the sexual market. You may not understand that we see feminism as a strategy, but let's face it- women get provisions and protection from men as one of the benefits to relationships with them. If feminism hampers this, then feminism has unwittingly affected the sexual market, and in this case, we think it's devalued women at least enough that nobody was helping that woman.

We are here to analyze real trends. It sucks that there are crimes out there and people getting hurt, but you can't just will it away, and pretending they don't exist is just willful ignorance. These things happen, and we discuss them.

I really don't like rape debates. They tend to... suck, if you'll pardon the pun. But I'll bite. This "type" of rape is very uncommon. If you want to discuss trends, the trend with rape is that it is caused mainly by someone the victim knew and trusted (you'll see that most rapes are caused by former or current lovers, friends, or relatives). But let's put that aside and use your example.

Frankly, I agree with the sentiment. I'd love to live in a world where no one had to watch their drink and we could all not hurt each other. Unfortunately, that's not the world we live in. I do think that if a girl gets really fucked up and had no way out, no friends to help, and willingly consumed whatever she had taken, she's in a bad way and she put herself there. If she is harmed, it probably was avoidable.

However, what I won't do is treat her shittily and disregard her feelings on the matter. True, she made mistakes, but she still got fucked over by someone that should have known better. It's not white knighting or a pussy pass to empathize with someone that was victimized; if my roommate got shit-hammered drunk (which he does on occasion) and was beaten senseless and robbed outside a bar, my first reaction wouldn't be to lecture him about responsibility and moderation. I'd hope he would learn not to do that again, of course, but it doesn't put the responsibility on him just because his enjoyment of himself made it easier to victimize him. If it hadn't been my friend on this hypothetical night, it probably would have been anyone else that would have made a good target. The only fault my friend (and the woman this is a metaphor for) carries is that their actions made them easier to victimize. Not the best course of action by any means, but not one that deserves contempt and ridicule.

Personally, I haven't seen this as a real thing. Though I'm not sure what my reaction would be in the real world, I know that if I saw a person being attacked with a knife and I could stop it I'd try, regardless of gender. I don't see helping a woman as any more a liability than helping a man.

I know. For the most part, these discussions stay within TRP, and it was me that came in here and stated my opinion. However, it was only to say "this is what an outsiders opinion is". I wasn't here to insult or critique or anything; just to describe how others see TRP.

These things happen, and we discuss them.

My point was that when TRP discusses these things, it's often from a less empathetic point of view than your average Joe. Sometimes it downright blames the victim, and oftentimes a woman is not only wrong but evil, stupid, manipulative, or deceitful, regardless of the story. It's sort of like an anti-pussy pass, where women are responsible for everything.

As was said elsewhere in this thread, the information is provided in a way that is supposed to be highly visual and hyperbolic to get you thinking... When you read "women don't age mentally past the age of 2" it's not saying anyone actually believes that, it's something that is meant to get you thinking and give you an understanding of amused mastery that you don't get from directly defining it... This is a group dedicated to becoming the top 10% of men and as such it is elitist and doesn't cater to the masses. It has good information if you're willing to look past the delivery method and it prefers to stay a small community because of this. Now a lot of overlapping from other unrelated topics occur partially because it's useful to some and partially because the community balloons whenever we're mentioned elsewhere and things get posted that aren't related to the point or purpose of this sub. The point is, the information is here if you're willing to look for it. If you aren't, you aren't going to like it here.

I usually can tell which comments are intentionally hyperbolic. I get that this is what AWALT is supposed to be, and that not everything on TRP is supposed to be literal. However, not everyone means what they say hyperbolically (or if they do, it's indistinguishable from their actual opinion), and there's a constant outrage at women in general. Whether they sleep around or don't, they have careers or don't, they get no empathy. In fact, a fair amount of time is spent discussing how horrible they are.

I get that this is suppose to be the "anger" stage. Like I said, I'm not here to shit all over this sub. I'm just giving my opinion and telling you why reddit is creeped out by TRP; it looks like a bunch of guys trying to learn the biological secrets to sex and relationships while tearing women down and de-legitimizing them.

Just because he is an endorsed contributor doesnt meant that I need to blindly take his word as gospel.

That's not the point. The point is whether or not he has a better grasp of TRP than you do. He does. You might not like his communication style, but that doesn't invalidate the ideas he presents.

Sure, but you're not allowed to decide what TRP means when everyone else disagrees, the same way you're not allowed to decide that "Camel" really means "Horse". Well, you can, but you have a long slope ahead to convince anyone. And if you get too annoying about it, like a disruptive child that just doesn't want to learn, we're in our right to kick you out.

The problem is that you think your own conclusion are just as valid as everyone else's, when they're really not. If everyone thinks you're wrong, mods tell you you're wrong, endorsed contributors tell you you're wrong, most subscribers tell you you're wrong, but you keep insisting you're right, what does that say about yourself? Can you ever be taught anything?

Time to curb that ego, and open your mind to what is being said.

Consensus among practioneers is what creates true authority, whatever the practice, science or meditation. You mistake that for credentialism, where institutions provide diplomas asserting you're a certified expert (which isn't necessarily true).

In any case, newbs should shut the fuck up and listen to established practioneers, that's the golden standard in every discipline. Nothing can establish itself if ignorant newcomers question everything all the time.

Mods and endorsed contributors are the closest thing we're going to have to established practioneers, so if that doesn't suffice to you, you should get the fuck out and set up your own forum. But as long as you are here, they set the standard. In earlier times it was called good Netiquette.

It's also in the modding rules. Again, if you disagree you can vote with your feet.

This is exactly the post that I was hoping for and its something I agree with.

I just want to make sure that OldMuckyTerrahawk was not creating an atmosphere of circle jerk and not one of the free exchange of ideas. Banning people who have read the sidebar and disagree with points of TRP is NOT a culture that I want to support in this subreddit. I emphatically 100% support the banning of people who dont take the time to read the philosophy before posting, but we cant just ban people who disagree. Censorship is not something that I approve of.

I merely used that post as an example, although I do think that the wording in the article is written in a way that is misogynistic. Quotes like "Women never age mentally past the age of two" make us look horrible and it is 100% misogynistic. However I do support the message behind the words.

I don't talk about it much, but some of the reasons I keep it in the sidebar might surprise you. For instance, I find it helps weed out the people who don't understand metaphors, don't know how to keep an open mind, and won't handle information that offends their sensibilities. Are women literally two year olds? No. But any man who reads this will already understand this. The people getting pissed off at this have no place here. This helps me weed them out.

The fact is, there is a certain level of hyperbole in masculine writing and communication. It uses this hyperbole to get points across. Not that women are actually children, but putting yourself in this mindset helps you understand rollo's idea of amused mastery. Sometimes you need something shocking to jump-start your understanding, and then you can extrapolate on this information and come to your own understanding.

The red pill is nothing if you don't apply it and understand it for yourself.

I respectfully disagree. I understand the point you are trying to make and I do agree with the majority of it, but when people say things like the quote in question and that is the first thing that I read about TRP I would be very hesitant to give it a fresh look with my own eyes. Public image IS important to the furthering of any topic and goal, and I do agree that we should not hesitate to say things that do fly in the face of political correctness, but there is no sense in being intentionally hateful or agitating for the sake of it.

I just believe that writing articles that are quoted as canon and quoted as required reading in a way that is intentionally misogynistic is a detriment to the furthering of TRP goals. I dont believe the TRP theory to be at its core misogynistic but I do believe that the writing in the article in question can be seen as misogynistic.

That's the point. If you're that easily swayed by public opinion, we're not really interested in your participation.

I agree that if there were a perfect representation of red pill theory, it would reflect reality and therefore could not be considered misogynistic.

That said, the literary devices used to convey information from men to men will always be considered misogynistic, because that's how we learn. That's how we communicate.

Women have always tried to take over male spaces and make them "more appropriate."

This is something I simply won't entertain. We are not here to make others feel good about us. We are here to discuss ideas that we think need discussing. Those who are turned off by it can exit. Men have always had a form of communication that women haven't understood.

Again, it makes no sense to try to appease them, when they will never have our goals in mind. Our goal is the discussion of red pill knowledge and discussion in a male space.

Get real.

It's hard enough getting our own asses in gear, lets stop wasting time and energy in gathering a cheerleader squad for us. That time would be better used lifting, learning new skills, developping assets and generally speaking improving ourselves.

If you want to join a movement, head over to MensRights and try to get them to get their shit together, they could use your help. TRP is not about changing the world, it's about changing you.

Whether or not people like us is completely irrelevant to that, and in fact the less they like us, the better the quality of this sub will be.

TRP is an elitist program, you won't make it better by "popularizing" it. Stop trying to cater to the lowest denominator.
