The best part is the last line. You said she was a reminder of how weak you used to be. When I think back to my ex and remember how hurt I was, I know it was THAT PAIN that drove me to make better choices to improve my life. Not for her, but so that I would never have to feel that again. With that came self-respect. Now I realize I couldn't go back to her because I'm a better man than I was, and there's nothing she could offer me. To me, that's the best revenge. Real revenge isn't about hurting someone, it's about them realizing they hurt themselves.

I can sort of relate although my experience was more bitttersweet. I had a oneitis from my early 20s. She was actually 4 years older than me. I was her Beta orbiter. Of course she had "gotten out of an abusive relationship" and "didn't want to ruin our friendship." She was out getting fucked and chucked by Chads. In a way I should be thankful to her, because my experience with her is what opened my eyes to pickup and later TRP.

You know these things never work out so cleanly as this story does. These revenge porn fantasies are real life occurrences. But 9 times out of 10 the end user on this sub won't have the experience you had. I've killed my revenge fantasy along time ago. Simply written it off. I love stories like these. There is no bitterness, no anger, instead you overcame a tough time in your life and she saw what ultimately she was the one who fucked up. I've had revenge fantasies, but I realized long ago the best revenge is a life well lived.

I just had one myself last night. A girl I went to high school with that I tried to get with on multiple occasions basically begged to sucked my dick and to consider talking to her since I started improving in life. I know the feel man. I had a crush once, we were friends. After I've told her how I felt (yuck) she just didn't answer, rushed back home and I didn't hear from her for almost 2 weeks. I would have kept the paper. You shouldn't blame her for cheating on your former bp self. She's probably too dumb and simple to be able to make it in a relationship w/ someone very ambitious anyways. She may have known that and felt very insecure and so wanted to let herself know she had options. Like you said - she didn't have many friends. And I don't like the idea of hurting simple and lonely people. That's one negative side to leaving the paper. The other is that making a direct statement like that has no positive side. I don't know your line of work, but it's possible she knows someone who owns a business who might work w you, or she might know someone talented who you'd like to hire. Moral: no point burning a rotten bridge. It already knows it's rotten, but something useful might still find a way to get over it.
