Feminism and SJW is the equivalent of a minority student claiming that the math test is racist.

What the SJW get wrong is that it is not society that sets the standards, it is LIFE. If you want to build bridges, you've got to know a certain amount of math and physics. If you want to be a CEO or business executive, you've got to know how to get along with people and manage them. If you want to be a doctor or a surgeon, you've got to know about human biology and chemistry. If you want to be a financier or accountant or bookkeeper, you have to know how to keep and evaluate the books. If you want to be a salesman, you have to know how to get along with people and meet the customer's needs and negotiate.

Unlike race or sexuality or religious preferences or big tits, these skills don't come naturally, you have to work hard and study to learn them. People who don't have these skills don't get the higher paying jobs. So when somebody tells me that there is a racial or gender gap in income and prestige, I have to ask: what are you doing about it?

Ignoring for a second that there is no gender or racial gap in the data once you account for IQ, education, and years of experience, even if there were a gap, it could be solved just by having minorities learn the skills they need and get the higher paying jobs. But that's a lot harder than just blaming the University or Society.

Damn, this is why I'm ready to move on (senior in college here).

To be honest, the SJW stuff is threatening to ruin the college experience for young males. Unless you're in a fraternity or partake in a specifically male activity like rugby, leftism and feminism are making college a a semi-hostile environment for young men. We are simply outnumbered (undergraduate student bodies are, on average, 57% female).

It's bullshit because all the movies get young guys so hyped to go to college and then they arrive and it's pretty much either 1) join a frat or 2) muddle through a semi-hostile environment while being exposed to a 'new normal' that would've looked ridiculous even 10 years ago.

Seriously, why does social justice have to be our generation's movement? I think the hippies were wrong, but at least that generation was into good music, lots of sex, and having fun. And the generation before, of course, were real men. Now we're left with some freak show where it's sexist to be a guy. Give me a break.

I actually did my undergrad at Cornell, and there's a huge liberal culture there. I'd actually say the surrounding city of has a lot to do with it...essentially, Cornell is out in the middle of nowhere on the Eastern outskirts of the city of Ithaca, NY, which is probably one of the top five most liberal, hippie cities in the USA. If you're any type of non mainstream gender, sexual orientation, or whatever spiritual thing, it's a very accepting city. That being said, it has the flaws that you'd expect from a huge congregation of people on the fringes and extremes, and stuff like this happens.

I actually loved it there, although one if the most common sayings there is "Ithaca is 10 square miles surrounded by reality." A lot of ultra liberal and other extreme attitudes can exist there which seem outrageous in most other contexts. As Cornell is part of the region, Cornell kind of gets absorbed in that too. Cornell students often get swept up in Ithaca culture and choose to settle there, as they find themselves have grown and intertwined with the culture there. That being said, many end up despising the whole scene and gtfo as soon as they can.

I actually feel I morphed well into the whole culture though, and I was able to find a good balance of healthy masculinity and personal focus/power with an interest in understanding and a love for people within the city culture. I tried to stay away from the extremist feminists or like the people here not only cause as a straight rather masculine man they'd already have a negative disposition to me (I had some awkward run ins) but because I felt like their behavior alienates people. Conservative, liberal, straight, gay, male, female, ...whatever. People are people, and it bothered me to see such division and fracture in the communities.

The good news? Universities are becoming irrelevant. If this is what you're paying a 6-figure student loan debt for, then it won't be long before businesses signal a college degree as having negative value. Hell... Lib Arts and Humanities are already negative signals. Walk up to a business owner with a faggy Social Justice and Peace Studies degree, and that says nothing more than a person who is a walking lawsuit waiting for a payout.

you know what, back in high school i and most of my friends thought the drama kids were weird... they would put on stupid plays, act "dramatic" in the hallways, and they all had bodies like anorexic or effeminate manlets and ugly, fat or disproportionate females. maybe one or two exceptions like the good looking white knight or the average looking little slut who was in it only for the facebook pics and as much attention from the lower end of the food chain as she could. the guys that took drama as a credit and not as an after school club usually turn out alright, i dont know any girls.

we had a social justice club but that was about raising money for africa and shit. anyways these drama freaks finish highschool, and enter the real world and have nothing to do.

i am starting to question if this is just social justice warrior thing is one big joke, like an extreme satire, and they just have the motto "how far can we push these regular people for the attention we never got in highschool" how far they can push this ridiculous leftist agenda because we give these trolls a voice in public.

I can tell you firsthand, as a student here, that the majority of students were irritated, appalled, and absolutely disgusted with the conduct of the protesters (especially with the incident of protesting during our president's farewell party). Their disapproval could be observed both verbally and through private communities on social media. It really is not too much of a concern here.
