AA is a good choice. You're right that you have to get away from being sarcastic. That's not really AA. I have trouble with coming off sarcastic too. Here's why it happens to me, may be the same for you:

The first thing that comes to mind is a DEER response. Eg "well, I rarely get lost" or "she sucks at navigating even more than me." Then, you reverse it and think you're doing AA. Eg "yeah, I get lost all the time. I'm an idiot, maybe next time I'll drive us into a lake" or "yeah, you're so good at navigating, if only I was as good as you." It seems like AA, but it's not. It comes across as sarcasm because it is.

I avoid sarcasm with AA by disconnecting it fully from reality. Make up a story about when you got even more lost. Make up some horrible consequences. Whatever. The point is you own the mistake and it doesn't bother you. You're in on the joke.

There's a limit though. Overt disrespect should be nuked. My line is disparaging something I did is ok, disparaging me isn't. For example, I'll tolerate, "listen to the dumb thing my husband did." But I won't tolerate, "my husband is an idiot."

Public Emasculation can mean many things.

I will just vomit my thoughts here, see if you can make sense out of it.

Shit tests can have many purposes. One of them is to cool her buying temperature, basically if you demonstrate value and hold frame, attraction happens, but she does not want to be attracted so she throw shit at you to make you break your frame. Do not break frame and calibrate as needed.

Another is hypergamy, she feels tingles for another man in public so she has to sooth her guilt and whats best way to do it to throw shit on husband. If husband breaks frame, it validates her that husband is loser and she is okay to feel her tingles.

I feel thats the difference when you are gaming your wife vs a rando chick in-field. Man's ego is hurt if he has to somehow win his wife over from other men as compared to a random chick, which in turn weakens his game. Because OI is important to demonstrate value.

So how to handle public emasculation, you just gonna have to treat her as a random woman you approach. If a new woman emasculate you, you will tease her, use the group against her, DGAF etc etc. When you are in public with your wife, hypergamy is in full swing, now is the time to demonstrate your value by dread, flirting, gaming and not lowering your value being butthurt, by seeking validation, by being angry and reminding her of her vows.

Thats why redpill is so hard to swallow, your wife is not yours, she is just a random slut in a bar waiting to be gamed and fucked. Your wife is not special and your oneitis will work against you, especially in-field. Game has rules, they are what they are, dont fight them, embrace them. Or you are gonna pay the price

I recently had one: we were in public sauna at the gym, there were two other old guys in there. We were discussing her friends in a Zumba class about to start, they said she should join and she declined, I jokingly said "perhaps I should go and work up a sweat" . Sher replied "they'd probably think you're a creep". I responded "on that note this creep is going to work out enjoy sitting in the sauna alone." I went up to the gym and began my workout not thinking much of it when she comes bouncing up all smiles and gives me a few kisses. This is notable bc in the past she's been against PDA especially at a place like the gym where she's self-conscious. I think my response worked because it showed that IDGAF, I removed my attention, and it left her alone with two sweaty out of shape old guys.

I think it's beta to not be able to take a joke. Saying you're bad at directions shouldn't be that offensive. If it is, sounds like self esteem issues. I take the piss out of my partner and she takes the piss out of me, it's a good way to make others relax into your company.

Patronizing for who? If for the lady who started the patronizing then I think this is a good way. Push back, get the laugh reversed and let her realize that you are above being impacted by her pettiness. Also showing you can turn the tables might even get you a little ole respecto in the process!

I should clarify that I am too new to this to know what I’m talking about but that would be my best guess at this point.

I couldn’t care less. Someone who puts you down does so to lift themselves up. Putting them down in return only shows your insecurity.

If the comment wasn’t disrespectful, then I’d roll with it. Perhaps I did something dumb and we can all share a laugh at my expense. I do dumb shit all the time. It’s being human. If someone crosses the disrespect line, I’d address it when appropriate. If they do it again, I’m done. Not because it’s harmful to how I see myself, but because I don’t want to be around someone that doesn’t treat me with respect, so I’d enforce a boundary.

This example sounds like playful teasing and nothing more. A decent chuckle or a light-hearted zinger in return are fine.

As for actual public emasculation, you set that boundary right from the beginning and if she crosses it she shouldn't be surprised when you demote her to a plate.
