I recently talked to a RPer in private about Christianity and TRP, and his response was this.

Christianity and Red Pill living are as complimentary to one another as Stoicism and Red Pill or Peanut Butter and Jelly, they are perfect for one another.

Think of your goal as a Christian, to live a life that is as 'Christ-Like' as possible. That means that you are reoving anything that is unessential to your personal growth and what is needed to live. Think of how TRP promotes Men to remove the fluff and work on what matters.

Red Pill tells you to lead, refuse to accept mediocrity, and to devote yourself to your mission. Now shift from the Red Pill lens to the Christian Lens. That means that you take ownership for the life god has given you and you fill your masculine role for the family god has blessed you with. On top of that, it is a waste of life for you to not reach your genetic potential as god didn't give you the excess that Man has created, he gave you your mind and body for you to improve and train. Continuing on this line of thought, TRP says to live for your mission, not a woman. This is the same as you living for your mission to leave this earth a better place than it was when you entered it.

Being a Masculine Male is perfectly in line with your religion. Jesus straight up walked into temples and booted the weaksauce dudes out of there, that's Alpha. He wasn't this weak frail Man, he faced down some mighty Men and did so with confidence and a sharp mind.

The guys who go around saying 'Down with gays' 'god hates soldiers' 'atheists will burn' are not in line with Christian living. Jesus hung around tax collectors and prostitutes and showed that forgiveness and owning your shit are what matters, not the petty labels.

Own your shit dude, walk your path with your shoulders back and ponder what I said about the perfect cohesion between Masculine Living and following a Christian Lifestyle.

While this is not entirely specific to your question, it has helped define the relationship between God and TRP that I know exists.

God is not giving you a sign, because he doesn't exist. Am I sure that he doesn't exist? No I'm not, but I'm just as sure about God as YOU are about Zeus, Ares, unicorns, and sasquatch.

What exists is your brains' incredible ability to do pattern-recognition and highlight it. When you hear a sermon your brain has come to the church expecting some sort of enlightenment. The sermons are designed to relate to every church goers' problems or life-choices. So of course, you're going to encounter sermons that will be related to your life. That's not a sign. That's the design of religion by the religious founders, by man.

If they didn't relate to you, then why would anyone come to church?

Religion is thus memetic, it tries very hard to detatch unrelated links of information that aren't relevant to modern society anymore, and it attaches links of information that relate to every average person. It thus protects itself from irrelevancy and tries to adapt to modern society and average people. It even has its own defense mechanisms. People will shit on you as "rude" and "condescending" if you try to doubt their religion because it paints itself as a defenseless innocent thing that is only there to help people. When an idea in religion becomes toxic to modern society, the religious find a way to reinterpret the texts so that the toxic idea is no longer there.

What you'll find is that the Christianity in Africa and the Christianity in America is quite different, mainly because the people there face different problems. So the sermons are designed to inspire, convince, and relate to the audience.

It's basically a giant ego-rub designed to make you feel better and warm and fuzzy.

Ah because the creator of the universe, who made billions of galaxies, billions of stars, potentially millions of alien civilizations, cares about me, the special snowflake on this tiny planet out of 7 billion people.

If what I said upset you, it's because it's the red pill, a dose of harsh reality. It's not the warm fuzzy blue pill of religion that you want so badly to believe in.

I will surely tell you that there are no coincidences with God, i.e. those sermons were no coincidence, especially since you mentioned since it was multiple - however large or small that may be. I've fluctuated throughout my life on how RP/alpha my actions were. When I was being a man and happy with myself, my relationship with God tended to center around daily study of the Bible, with simple but sincere prayer just as often and occasionally sharing bits of wisdom with people I cared about.

My most manic and BP days, I didn't study at all, but I would spend tons of time concerned with signs and desperate pleading prayers. Note that I would still experience signs and feel real supplication during my RP study-focused times, but they became my focus and my discipline/happiness waned. Correlation doesn't necessarily mean causation, but if you want to gain certainty as to the existence/nature of God, read the Word and seek out commentary on it. C.S. Lewis is great. Nothing substitutes the actual bible though, and all the prayers and signs in the world won't make a relationship with God either.

Something many people studying christian scripture/tradition often overlook is the concept that according to the Bible man is created in God's image. You are created in God's image.

The best, clearest, closest access you have to God is yourself. Studying yourself is studying God. Getting to know yourself is getting to know God.

Former Christian (Calvinist) missionary here.

Maybe God is calling you. He very well might be. It also might be a sermon series you just really relate to. In Hebraic teaching they'd call this a person's yoke. So when Jesus said that his yoke was easy, it was a double entendre to mean the yoke with an oxen, but also his teaching. Whenever someone comes out with a new interpretation, a new yoke, people relate to it. We've seen people drawn to Jesus, drawn to Paul, drawn to Augustus, to Francis of Asisi, to Martin Luther, to John Calvin, to Johnathon Edwards, to GK Chesterton, to CS Lewis to Chandler or Rob Bell. People are drawn to a specific teaching or interpretation that resonates with them in this time period, with these teachings and these events.

I believe the Bible can and is meant to be re-interpretted for its time. There are a lot of timeless themes* in there, hundreds of stories with pure themes that are good. A lot of it I don't understand and a lot of it has been used for evil and has come to a personal loss for me.

It's hard, man.

I wish the church didn't promote such a victim-mentality. I wish the church would tell dark truths like you are responsible for the way you act and are in your life. There are events around you that are not controllable, but you need to start working out, eating healthy, living right by getting plenty of rest and cutting out unhealthy relationships in your life. Have those not be promoted with bible verses, but just a part of getting your life together.

What I had found often times in Southern Christianity is that they taught, and I used to teach this like the back of my hand, the concept of total depravity. That you without God are completely and utterly evil and depraved. You are a worthless sinner not worthy of being saved but who God out of love of himself saved you.

I have a giant upside down cross tattood on my bicept that says "Not Worthy." Paul, a follower of Jesus, when persecuted for following Jesus was killed upside down bc he felt he wasn't worthy to die the same way as Jesus did.

That's such total bullshit though. And I have this tattood on me!

You are worthy. You are made in God's image. You are a man. You have good in you. When God made the world he declared it was good.

Is Jesus against sexuality in this day and age? I don't know.

Honestly I don't really care. I'm more focused on living a quality life.

You have worth and value, and I honestly stopped going to church a few months ago because I felt like the church was promoting a victim mentality. The, you're a dirty sinner who can't be saved and isn't worth saving but God loves you as long as you are willing to fight your dirty sinful nature which you can't resist, mentality.

I've been considering wanting to go back and read the Gospels again. And see Jesus outside of a church perspective. As a dude who said, Fuck all of this religious nonsense. How about we just be excellent to one another and party on?

That's my two sense.

Basically, go to church if you feel it helps you.

A lot of churches will promote the idea to accept everyone as they are unconditionally, which gives a complete lack of responsibility on people. You are responsible for yourself and your actions, so own up to those and if you want a relationship with God, Allah, Jesus, whoever you call him, go for it. Just keep in mind that you need to work on yourself as a man and set yourself as a priority, your life matters and you have worth and are loved by the creator God.

Not at all. Signs are everywhere, given freely and abundantly. You need only open to receiving them.

Keep in mind, Christianity is just one interpretation of the Universal Force (aka God), as witnessed by Jesus Christ, recorded by his disciples, and translated a half-dozen times. The Bible has no literal value, only value as a teaching tool.

Ultimately, if going to church enriches your life, keep doing it.

Beware, however -- many religious people are very egotistical about it. They may pressure you to come more often, donate, go to extra bible study, etc. etc. Do it, if it pleases you, but always consider that these activities are designed to enrich YOUR spiritual journey. You owe nothing to anyone other than yourself.

I don't know. I don't know if it's even possible to know with any certainty. I beat my head against this philosophical wall for years.

Eventually I said "fuck it" and signed up to be cryogenically frozen. I still don't know the answers but I'm hoping in a few hundred years people will know better.

For me, god isnt a micromanager. I have some serious questions that make religious people go angry but thats just me.

For you, you seem to be looking hard to make a connection, hence the sign. Maybe you are indeed receiving one. Who knows??

Yes, it is possible it is God giving you a sign - and he might have helped you find TRP. You don't know you've found your place with God - but look at it like this: If the entity that created everything you can imagine and an endless supply of more insane things seems like a plausible possibility; why wouldn't you try to follow those footsteps?

I made the same mistake and lost 10 years of my life. Just read the bible and judge yourself if the god described there is a worthy god. Make a rational decision now and don't look back. Don't let them brainwash you and fill your head with doubts and guilt.

I'd like to believe it is God giving you a sign. God loves us all equally. I think the best thing to do is to just ask and pray that Jesus come into your heart.

Whether you want to believe in god or not is not as important as being as good of a human being as you can possibly be and enjoying life to its fullest. I would like to think that if a god exists he would consider if you were a good person rather than if you gave a church a portion of your earnings or some of the other stupid stuff organized religions try to tell people. God may exist but I would care more about making my life and other humans lives better while I am alive than wanting to know if a god is there or not, because at the end of the day for all I know this life may be it and there might not be an after life

Sermons are broad and generic so that they can apply the the guy cheating on his wife, or the guy with a gambling problem, or the woman with jealous thoughts, etc. You don't need God to be good, you only need virtue.

"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but...will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."

Not trying to tell you what to do, but the way I see it TRP is about listening to yourself, becoming your own king. Organized religion, in any form or shape, will tell you what to do and shape you according to them. That's how they function. I don't see the two as being compatible. Jesus didn't really say "...and thou shalt spin plates like none other before thee".

God does not exist. I do not know why people insist on having imaginary friends. We try to not delude ourselves in TRP, so I find it odd that there would be this many people that are not rational.
