Girl I'm in LTR with has no obvious red flags, but her insecurities get really annoying. Needs validation, I've seen her tapping my phone to see notifications. Sometimes acts suspicious. She had relationships where guys cheated on her or dumped her, it definitely had impact on that behavior. At least she doesn't show any signs of controlling behavior, it'd be a deal breaker for me.

The mother of all red flags is the "rape" word.

If she mentions that she was raped run and don't look back: either she falsely accused someone and will do the same with you or she was actually raped and she's damaged beyond repair.

Having finally cured my own depression, a girl with depression would be the biggest red flag for me. I fear she'll eventually drag me down with her.

Other red flags: way to chatty with your exs, attention seeker, way too clingy on that one "ol' friend" that's "just a friend"(yes they probably once were fuck friends), no job nor is willing to get one(mortgage doesn't pay itself, but she sure seem to think it is), and in general don't be a fucking freak show.

I place having kids on the orange flag list as it really depends on the situation, as long as that kid isn't expected to become my problem then I'm in general all K with it, your ex pays child support for a reason.

Holy shit I'm just going to stop here.. Basically, I'm on this earth a finite time and for her to be anything more than a sentient orifice, she needs to bring something to the table. If she wants to be with me and be meaningful to my life while I put her above the rest, she needs to keep the drama to a minimum. Any of these are just flags on their own but they stack and show up in pairs as I screen within the 6 month vetting process.

Haven't seen it mentioned, so I'll add: moved to, and lives in a different country from birth, particularly if there isn't a strong reason to leave the origin country.

It may not always be the case, but I've known a few girls that did this, and it was to run from the fact that they were total sluts in their origin countries, sort of like trying to create a new identity. It makes it easier to hide their history.

I can not think of one LTR that said they were cheated on, then revenge cheated but didn't consider themselves a cheater. Beta days, but usually those LTRs turned into dead bedrooms, so believe there is a link between the two.

Rape. Yes, this is a sensitive topic and I am going there. Does it happen? Yes. But as I began with, still damaged. She should be seeking therapy and not a new boyfriend to resolve her problem, your not her therapist (or hopefully aren't). Will there be bad days, yes, but we are talking a couple times a year not a month.

Most other topics should have filtered her out of being a plate, yes even the "Has children", but sometimes we find that out much later.

Obedience - If she isn't obedient; doesn't follow instructions/flakes without due cause; she doesn't get a look in.

Fidelity - She can fuck other guys; just NOT whilst it's my turn.

e.g. "What do you do? Oh I'm a burgeoning fashion designer. Seen my work?"

I chose well cause my current is REALLY independent. She's bought me a car, TV's, phones and all sorts of crap. She even paid for the majority of our month long holiday recently. If a girl claims to be Miss Independent; make her prove it.
