I'm black and I typically only date and prefer black women. I've never had a woman tell me she was a cop. You don't have to alter your approach. I think you just had a one-off encounter.

Having been black for longer than you've probably been alive, and having lived in the Atlanta area for over 20 years, I don't know what to tell you except it was just encounter that, from the sound of it, makes it seem like you were looking to buy some.

Atlanta is a town filled with younger women, and lots of them are black. All you can do is be your best you and it will work out.

Focus on things you can control. Your approach, body language, tone of voice, what you say, how you say it, your eye contact, your ability to make her laugh, your ability to make her smile, your ability to read her body language, your outfit, etc.

Don't know what the difference between approaching black women vs other girls. Same rules apply i guess, shouts out to the ATL I love the city. A guy from Philadelphia once told me, "as a black man we didn't have the money that a lot of these white guys did, so we had to come at a different angle". Doesn't mean black guys are poor but there are a lot of negative stereotypes surrounding us black men. Girls are easily intimidated by us so try and show your gentle/caring side a bit more, doesn't mean act like a beta but just try and disarm that stereotype asap. I've heard girls say black men are too thirsty so try and be patient with your sexual intent. I’m black and grew up in atlanta, feels the same as any other city as far as approach goes. I have notice some black girls upper middle class or above either only want the thug types are are absolutely repulsed by it, not much gray area. Switch up the style a bit and see what hits maybe a suit and tie one day, maybe some all black with gold chains the next. Happy hunting

LMAO call me crazy but I love flirting with female police officers. One time I was leaving the courtesy and a super FINE black female officer was walking in. I held out my hands and told her to put the cuffs on me. She said "Sir you have to break the law first." Another time I was leaving the mall and a female officer was walking in and I said "You wanna use your cuffs or mine?" Her jaw just dropped and she laughed and kept walking into the mall. Always start with “Hello Miss” or Mrs. or Ms. or just “Hello” or “Hi” in a decent tone, decent being not too soft not too rough but the perfect in between- I get catcalled a lot so I know how other women may freak out

Just smile big guy. I'm sure it's a simple case of resting thug face lol. Jokes aside, I get similar reactions from people unless I go out of my way with the pleasantries because my default expression looks angry as hell for whatever reason.

Afterthought : I could be wrong, but her reaction sounds like a pretty typical cop response going off the interactions that I've had with them. It probably had more to do with her being blue than you being black.

From a woman's perspective, I don't think you seemed like a threat to her. She just wasn't interested. That's going to happen more often than not, no matter how attractive you are. So just be yourself and keep being confident.

Maybe she thought you were looking for a hooker. I'm not in Atlanta, but here there are a good amount of black men who go for hookers. It's also possible that she was just weird or racist, that can happen. if you approach enough people you'll occasionally get some strange reactions.

I've had a number of black wingmen and none of them did anything different to address their race. I've never seen them get into fights or confrontations.

Now, if you have an intimidating appearance (you're large for example), you do want to address that by giving women more space initially and showing that you have good intentions by being extra polite.

But that's more about your size and the way you dress than anything else.

Bruh I’m black in nyc, been approaching since the pandemic, and in all honesty, it’s hard especially when I grew up with people crossing the street and putting their phones away when they saw me coming.

But after a while you just desensitize. I never had an issue approaching black women though, they seem to be the easiest and most receptive to me.

I wouldn’t let a girl like that intimidate you though because tbh, she’s probably been approached all night so her response is nothing personal.

I’ve had girls straight up embarrass me in the club(white girls) in an Irish pub. This happened because I approached them and already they were walking away, but I stayed in and approached the friend. Got blown out.

But then for some reason they kinda started talking and said something like “go back over there with you’re friends”, I was alone, but I was talking to other people.

I held my ground, and challenged her a bit but left, and went about my business. 5 min later she’s orbiting me, looking at me and dancing.
