For me: I'm 23, slept with 16 girls (made a list a week ago), 6 or 7 of whom were last year (one relationship of some 4 months).

I think my biggest improvement was actually when I read the book "How to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie. Even though I had already read a lot of pickup stuff, this book made me into a much more likable, friendly person, with a very strong positive vibe. It greatly improved my "inner game", to use the pickup lingo.

I think most people ask this question because they want to know what 'good' looks like. Here are several profiles of instructors I know:

Has three or four girls he's fucking regularly; sleeps with a new girl every fortnight or so - this is mostly because he doesn't go out regularly any more - he's happy with the girls he has
Has no idea how many girls he's slept with, but is adding news girls more than once a week, and has been for a few years (when he's not been in relationships). Get's laid about 50% of the time he goes out and the girls tend to be damn hot
Has slept with maybe 30 chicks. Adds a new one about once every two months. The girls are hot enough to melt stuff by staring at it hard enough, because he will not sleep with girls who aren't 9s or 10s. Seriously high standards, seriously good game.
Gets laid pretty much every time he goes out. Has slept with perhaps 100 stunning girls, and also slept with 100 incredibly ugly girls. Appears to be utterly unable to distinguish between hot and not hot, and acts the same around a 10 and a 5. Probably on the 300-400 mark.

Cocky funny brought the fastest change, and a change that affected all areas of my social life. The greatest improvement lately was learning how to casually touch a lot more.

27 8 1 Only just started game this year and still shit at it. I think just getting out there and getting stuck in has been the biggest thing for me, but like I said; still shit at game so have yet to have an epiphany of any kind.

I just started getting interested in pickup this year, but the first major breakthrough was realizing that rejection is rarely personal, but rather because of technique. I now know that I have a great personality and tons of friends, I just get blown out because I lack the understanding of attraction and escalation. This has done wonders for my inner game and now a rejection doesn't fuck with my head for weeks, I just see it as something to analyze quickly and move on.

I'm 24 and I've slept with ~60 girls. 13 different girls last year. The biggest improvement to my game came when I finally completely let go of the fear of rejection. That's one of those things that you have to come to terms with yourself through repetition. But when you "get it", it completely frees you to go after what you want and to experiment with different ways of getting it.

I'll add that it also helps to take care of your body. I lift weights 5 days a week, get 8-10 hours of sleep every night, and eat 3200 calories worth of clean food each day. I get opened a lot because I look like an awesome fuck. Women can be pretty shallow too.
