I think rule 3 is especially important in the context of boredom. Masturbation isn't a bad thing on its own, but it should be done with pleasure being the motivation, not the fact that you're bored.

This is so toxic and stupid. What does being motivated vs. Lazy (which is pretty much the summation of what you needed 8 paragraphs to explain) have to do with "being beta." You need to get out of your own head. It's not that complicated just do you boo. If you fake it to make it all you'll get is fake and unfufilling.

agreed. much better to be busy than bored. a lot of bad habits and unproductive activities stem from boredom (wanking, smoking, tv, video games, facebooking, etc). about the wanking, i honestly believe that i have more drive and focus now that i'm trying nofap. feel so much more confident talking with women. a multi-wank always leaves me lethargic. also, staying busy makes your downtime so much more fun, no matter what you do.

Boredom is toxic. It leads to wasting time and causes mistakes in your strategy.

The things you're talking about below, there's some good stuff. I'm just going to supplement what you're saying, because while boredom can be problematic, there's more to it.

Rule 1: Never text a woman because you're bored

Sometimes it truly is boredom.

But often, insecure people feel the need to text incessantly also, in the search for more affirmation that things are going well. And such people often justify their texting by saying they're bored.

So simply texting a girl if you're bored is not so much the issue, as texting her all the time, constantly looking for reassurances, and demonstrating at you don't have a life.

She will come to realize what is going on and she will hate you for it.

Hate's a strong word. It's not hate, but lack of attraction.

Also, she won't always directly realize that some guy is becoming codependent or showing insecurity. But that won't change that she'll just feel turned off.

Rule 3: Avoid masturbation

I will argue that masturbation, especially masturbation to porn, is a purely beta activity.

Doing mastubation because one is bored is bad. Excessive masturbating or habitually masturbating to porn, is bad.

But mastubation is not 100% beta. It's a good way for anyone, man or woman, to get to know their own bodies sexually.

Example: Premature ejaculation is easily avoidable if one is familiar with their own individual "point of no return." If one doesn't at least discover that much through masturbation, as well as how to pace themselves.

The other suggestions are great though! Exercise, eating well, cleaning ones place, and overall, doing things to make ones life better.... These are all good suggestions that address the issue at the heart of it all, even if that's not techically boredom.

Like all of the stuff you are describing as boredom and inherently part of that from your perspective are symptoms of depression, at least for me and others

Maybe try to seek some help with why you feel like that, self improvement is awesome but if it's for the wrong reasons you can do some real psychic damage
