Your age is just an excuse you're making up not to do it. If you were younger you'd think of something else that gives you a reason not to.

I'm older than you and this is how I see it.

Learning game is like solving a puzzle. Each little sticking point, for everything you feel you can't do, or don't know how to do, or are worried about, there is a solution to it. For every single sticking point there is a solution. You just haven't figured it out yet. In other words, there is a communication style you can adapt that will get conversations to hook with girls that are younger than you. And you can approach with confidence. There is a way to do this. But, you have to field test different things until you figure it out.

You don't need any special tricks to do this. But, you do need to approach, get feedback, make adjustments, try again, etc...

Its mostly inner game that is your current problem. Your are focused on the outcome, so you are in your head and worried about what may happen. You need to develop your mind so that you look at approaching younger women as a fun activity you can do. Even rejections. Frame it all as a fun learning experience. Again, you are trying to solve a puzzle.

Here are a few fundamentals you may consider:

Focus on the conversation, not the outcome. Who cares what happens. Getting girls will be a byproduct of your communication skills, and are you are still learning. So, practice letting go of the outcome.
Drill on opening. Practice your opening game, but don't forget about inner game and how important it is. You want mindset shifts as you improve. Right now you are hesitant with younger girls. Later you want it to be fun, no matter what happens.
Make the entire process fun. Even harsh rejections, frame it as self amusement. As long as you aren't doing anything wrong, then nothing to worry about. Your just talking to people.
Try to get to a point where you are comfortable, not talking too fast, eye contact is good, and your just talking to hot girls because thats how you roll. Nothing against the law about having conversations with people. Field test indirect approaches if it helps. You don't have to go direct.
Make what you learn from experience the main way you learn. By all means, learn from what others have done. But, toss any ideas that don't work for you. Your approaching to solve the puzzle of meeting girls on the street.
What is something you can do right now? What is within your comfort zone? Do that, and try to stretch it a little.

I can go on and on with all these details. You really just want to adapt the right mindsets, and go have fun talking to girls. Get serious about identifying what to improve when you write field reports. But, don't take anything serious when you are approaching. Keep it fun and light.

It's just in your head. It's not weird, you're just not used to it.

I started practicing seduction years ago, but only really went at it hard and started going out almost every day when I was 33, so if you start now you're still ahead of me (and many others).

Also, I do daygame exclusively - I don't drink alcohol, so I don't go to bars much, there's just no point in going somewhere JUST to practice pickup if you wouldn't go there otherwise.

32 is a great age, you're sorted, your insecurities are largely dealt with and you will be reasonably economically stable.

You will attract women from 20 onwards, you can take your pick.

Try social events, art exhibitions, comic cons, book shops, cafes, or any place that caters to your hobby.

What is there to learn? PUA is mostly filled with grifters trying to exploit you for cash. Learn the basics about what women find attractive in men. A good book is the evolution of desire by David Buss. Try to max out your life and become the best man you can. I don't recommend spending countless hours chasing tail. It requires a lot of time and effort and is mostly a fruitless endeavor. Even if you do get women to like you, they have a bazillion other options and will probably end up flaking on you. Hate to say it but the modern dating scene is rigged against men. I know guys don't like hearing that but it is. If you're feeling lonely try to make a couple of good male friends or work on your relationships with your family.

First part of mastering this stuff is realising right away that nothing is going to take away the way you feel weird about approaching someone that isn't in a bar.

People can and do spend years and years trying to find material or some type of inner game trick to take away that feeling, but the truth is it will not go it is something that you have to face the way around it is to go through it, you have said in your post you want to figure it out which means you are committed. I am not gonna lie you are gonna feel a bit awkward, day time approaching comes with more social pressure then in a bar at night but you have gotta say to the thoughts inside your head and the feelings in your body that tries to deflate you to shut up and simply do it anyway, then over time you will start to notice you no longer feel weird and you will now be able to not only enjoy the process but learn.
