I'd say that if she shows ANY hesitancy for actually meeting up soon...then she is just stringing you along for validation. Either she's really excited to meet up with you soon...or she's not.

Yeah, I had a run in with one of these women who I met through freelance work a couple of years ago. It was my first exposure to this phenomenon so I had no resistance built up for it and mistook her initiating conversation with me (via text usually) as genuine romantic interest at first. As time wore on I learned that she was in an emotionally unfulfilling relationship with a boyfriend that she was living with and craved attention and since she found me funny and knew I was single she would reach out and flirt almost daily.

The pandemic was raging and since I was in lockdown, I had zero other options I let it continue longer than I should have. She got the drift and stopped reaching out herself, then ultimately moved out of state anyway. Now I know this is a thing. Lesson learned.
