Instead. Start talking as if you were messaging a friend you didn't contact for 3 weeks. Keep it contextual. "You know, I used to think that diving is for weirdos, but recently I tried it and found a whole new side to life I didn't know existed."
Whatever she replies with, try to qualify her on it. "O rly? I've never been diving. That's cool. What do you like about it?" -> "Oh, are you not adventurous? Hmmm, so what's your idea of fun?" The idea is that you need to know what you like, and you aren't willing to compromise. Don't settle!
Don't be invested in getting to know her or talk about serious topics (being serious is boring, save being serious for your 3rd date).
PLAY with her! Romance is about having fun, not about filling a void. The void will fill on its own the more you have fun.
Assuming you are an average joe, and not a male model -> Dabble in sex, but do not focus on it until you meet. It comes off as desperate. "You know you want to see me in my sexy diving suit. ;)"
After seeing if she is a cool girl who meshes with you (Remember you are not here to impress her. She is here to impress you!), then invite her out to something YOU want to do. BE SELFISH, you will be more relaxed. You will be able to gauge if she is a cool girl within the first 10 exchanges. Don't go longer than this - save it for real life. Make sure you are QUALIFYING that she meets your standards and don't just chat about random shit. If she doesn't mesh with you (convo dies? shes boring as fuck?) don't take it hard. It's not you, it's that you aren't compatible. No. big. deal.
If she's interested, say "when are you free to do it?". DO NOT propose a day. If she says, "i'm not sure when I'm free" then withdraw the offer. "Oh thats too bad, I was interested in seeing you. Message me when you figure out your schedule." and go silent. If she's interested in you she will make time and reach out. It is ok to ping her once 1 week later to see if her schedule opened up.
When you plan the date, then transfer to texting. "I don't check this app much. Text me @ ---"
Do not text to get to know her. Infrequently text one-liners about your upcoming date. "So fucking excited." "Man this week is long" If she messages you a lot, wait until late at night, "sorry been busy." and your one liner. Your goal here is to keep the anticipation. Let her think you are busy. Let her think you are seeing other girls all week long. By matching with you she already assumes you are popular with the ladies, successful at work, have a life. Texting too much will destroy that fantasy she has of you.
Again, DO NOT get to know her for the sake of getting to know her. "So what do you do for work?" Save it for the 3rd date at least. Have fun! Tease! Play! Fuck! And QUALIFY. Make her prove to you that she is a girl worth continuing with. You are a man with standards. If she feels like she doesn't have to work for you, or that she can do anything she wants to you, she will. lose. interest.
When you meet, you MUST set the frame. The MOMENT you meet her get physical. She is not your friend, she is your romantic interest. Treat her that way. Hug, touch, smile, tease, laugh. Put your hand on her back and guide her to the venue. LEAD. She WILL follow you. Make excuses to be close. "Damn they only gave us one menu. Come here, and look at it with me." "I can't hear you over the noise, come, sit here." You must set the frame early and not expect to do it later. If you failed at escalating early, it will be awkward, but you still need to do it.
Invite her over with an excuse. "You like Mario Kart? Let's play at my place" <- This works every time, but the options are endless. If she accepts, she just accepted to sleeping with you. She's not stupid, she knows it will end in sex. If she really likes you she might make you wait till the second date, but you still need to try.
When you get to your place, be considerate. She's self-concious. Show her the bathroom, show her the toilet, pull out a disposable toothbrush and set it near the sink. Put on some music so she can use the toilet in peace. When she gets out of the bathroom, walk up to her, put your hands around her and kiss her. Forget about that thing you invited her over for, that can come later.

Damn good advice.

By quickly moving to logistics and a meetup, you actually set yourself apart from most guys aka non-closers and creeps.

Try for the meet before even asking for her number. A lot of guys are too focused on the number imo.

Also, if you're better looking irl than your pics, ask for her snapchat. I've found it's a great bridge if they feel kind of lukewarm about meeting up. It gets them a lot more comfortable and can spike attraction like crazy.

So I don’t think the number is the important part. Close with plans on the date and remind her the day of and possibly the day before. If she likes you she’ll suggest her number or she’ll give it to you at the end of the date.

Yeah you'd be SO surprised at the number of guys who SUCK at tinder. I have a large group of friends, many of them use tinder daily and they maybe go on 1-2 dates per month, if even that. People don't know to number close and WHY they should, they don't know how to initiate, they don't know not to discuss sex over text before you've even met, etc. There are so many little things to consider but so many guys don't think like that and I've tried to give my two cents in the past but they genuinely can't comprehend how this stuff works or are too awkward to do it. (???) It's kind of frustrating, as they've seen me go on 4-5 tinder dates per week as they're interested in hearing about them, but they refuse the information that's proving to work because they don't actually believe in it?

Oh well, more for me then I guess.
