Hey guys. This is my first field report since coming back to Tokyo to finish my book (releasing in October. Prepare thy anus or something.)

I meet up with two friends of mine, one white guy who is visiting and one Japanese girl who is basically an fPUA. After sufficiently lubricating ourselves with cheap food, beers, and sake, I begin telling a story that happened the last time I was in Tokyo in 2011. It went something like this:

Me: So I'm in Shinjuku to go bowling with some people, and one of the girls spots a sign for a Penguin Bar on the 7th floor.

HB: A... Penguin Bar? What's that?

Me: Apparently it's a bar where you're drinking and they have penguins walking around. But it was closed so we didn't get to go.

HB: You realize we have to go there right now, don't you?

Me: I'll get the check.

And so we journey to Shinjuku to find the elusive Penguin Bar of lore. It's around 10:30PM at this point.

Key point: Don't be afraid to be spontaneous & go on wacky adventures. When you're an old man dying in a hospital bed, all you'll have is your stories. Make some fantastic ones. Good things happen when you go in search of penguin bars.

In Shinjuku we find the location that popped up in google. It was definitely the same building from 2011. But the bar is gone, replaced by a generic pub. We asked one of the promoters in front of the building and they say, "Yeah, they shut down a while ago." BOO, fucking penguin bars man... I guess the Animal Rights guys weren't too keen on the idea.

Thinking on my feet, I say, "Let's go to Golden-Gai." And off we go. Golden-Gai is a little gem nestled away in the heart of Shinjuku, Tokyo. It's a one block zone with approximately 200 bars packed like sardines. It got its nickname because of the flood of urine that used to flow outside of all these bars. It's the starting point of thousands upon thousands of crazy adventures.

Key point: Know your city! If you know a bunch of cool options to take people to, you can simultaneously BE A LEADER and BE A VALUE GIVER by moving your group there. It's not complicated but this is a part of game so many people fail to practice. I give tips on how to do this in section #2 of Above The Game Part 6.

An old mama-san sternly greets us at the first bar we walk into. "We don't take kindly to your type around here," she says. Wow, is this Alabama circa 1955? Anyway, thanks for my daily dose of racism, lady.

We head down the alleyway and find a bar that's more friendly to foreigners. We go up the cramped stairs and it's packed wall-to-wall with people. Fuck yeah, bitches.

My fPUA friend dips out. We take two seats at the bar. My guy friend sits next to an 18 year old Japanese girl who is being seduced (quite smoothly, too) by a 35-year old Japanese businessman. (Spoiler: they went home together! Congrats on the sex, anonymous J-bro.)

I sit next to a sexy 21-year old French girl. I open her right away with some situational opener that I can't even remember. I size up the situation and knew immediately what to do...

Presumably for at least an hour before arriving, a Japanese guy with very little game was buying her drink after drink and clumsily attempting to flirt with her. She was keeping friendly conversation to get free drinks, and quite possibly if she got drunk enough and I never arrived, he would have humped her drunk, lifeless corpse later that night. That is how "beta" and "rapey" guys get laid, isn't it?

But I digress. I know this game. I exchange pleasantries, while the Japanese beta-boy (JBB) gets outwardly jealous. He tries to interrupt by handing her his business card and 500 yen so she can buy herself a drink. Yes, JBB-kun actually handed her money... Facepalm.jpg

My goal is simple... Ignore JBB who is only serving to make me look more attractive... During the moments when she turns to talk to him, I chat up my friend or the bartender. Showing complete non-reactivity to his "threats" is key here. I want to subcommunicate that he is not even on my radar. Why would I, a Modern Alpha Male, be threatened by some creepy dude who is buying her drinks all night?

I make an effort to make sure our legs are touching under the table (I don't care if it's a move from middle school - that's good kino, my friends!) I chat with her from time to time - maintaining very strong eye contact. I light her cigarettes for her, because I'm a gentlemen. I don't buy any of her drinks, and most importantly, I am completely non-reactive to the other guy hitting on her.

Key point: I cannot stress to you the importance of keeping your cool in situations like this. You MUST learn to have confidence in your abilities and have faith that YOU are the one she will be going home with. If she sees your confidence wavering in light of "threats," she will stop feeling attracted to you. Maintain your frame, stay cool, and make your move when her buying temperature is peaking.

So I can see she is flattered by the attention but getting bored of it. I've done a sufficient job of wetting her panties. I read that the time is ripe for some late night karaoke. I suggest to her and my friend that we go get drunk in a karaoke booth.

For the next 3 hours we belt out tune after tune while imbibing all we can drink beer. At some point she drops a pretty major hint that she wants to be taken home.

SCREEEEEETCH. Record player stops. STOP EVERYTHING FOLKS, WE GOT A LIVE ONE HERE!

Within 30 seconds we're on the street hailing a cab back to her place.

Key point: When a girl gives you a MAJOR sign, stop whatever you're doing and MAKE IT HAPPEN. It takes a lot of faith and courage for a girl to give the "All cleared for takeoff" sign - reward her by taking her home immediately.

When we get back to her place, my friend bows out graciously because he wants to stay faithful to his girlfriend. A minute after he exits I'm balls deep in this beautiful French exchange student.

Fucking penguins, man.
