the most important thing is to be calibrated to the environment. ideally your opener is something observational in the environment or something about her.

if she’s in a group it’s better to go indirect and then make it clear who your target is within the first one to two minutes. you could embarrass her or alienate her friends very quickly by going direct right in front of them. first win them all over and then pivot to target.

if it’s later in the night like 2-3am, that’s prime pulling time so i’m going to be more direct because girls don’t respect time wasters at that hour.

going direct on the hottest girls isn’t great game usually. it can work with strong fundamentals, but these girls hear how cute they are on a daily basis.

But we may also have different definitions of what direct is. Because to me being direct is not about saying “hey i like you and want to sleep with you” to some random woman.

Instead being direct is about being upfront about the fact that I’m hitting on her and want to get to know her, but still not sold on the idea of sleeping with her or going on a date until i figure out first if I enjoy interacting with her first.

Don't think of it as one or the other. There are very direct opens, there are completely indirect opens, and there is everything between. You always wanna be kind of semi-direct. Direct escalates faster if she likes you right away but fucks you up big time if she doesn't. More indirect allows you to do disqualification, teases, push pulls and other attraction stuff beforehand, to make it more consistent, but it will take longer and you need to show at least some interest, to make sure the interaction is man to woman. Completely indirect is just not doing game at all, cause you are just having a platonic conversation.

Direct is only when you know 100% she’s into you.

But obviously the problem is not about whether direct or not, but about whether you know for sure she’s into you or not. It’s not only reading the signs /IoI correctly, but the sexual tension is already there.
