Depends on the setting, the woman, and type of relationship. It depends!!

For example, some women care a lot about getting a guy with high social proof. Ideally, perhaps they want a committed relationship with a superstar!

Other women want to fuck some random traveler that's in the city for three days. And they don't give a flying F about his social proof.

So, there's not one answer. It changes depending on the girl and the context. In some social circles - social proof is everything. For others it doesn't matter.

On average? It matters very little. When I meet women from dating apps or in the club - they don't know who I am. They dont know my social proof at all. And I can still get some. Same for any guy. Social proof is like nice but not a requirement. Especially if your goal is casual sex - social proof is almost irrelevant. It matters a bit more for serious relationships - especially for status-focused women.

Social proof is important for attracting Women. They don't know who you are. They're only going off how you carry/view yourself and how Women react to you.

Say for example you walked into a bar and you're visibly nervous and have jittery body language. Women are very aware of their sorroundings (they'll notice you before you notice them). Immediately they'll be on guard around you (even though you're a nice guy who wouldn't hurt a fly). You try talking to one and they immediately turn their back to you (your anxiety is peaking). Now you approach another Woman and they do the same. It's a ripple affect. Women watch other Women.

The point I'm trying to make is, how you view and carry yourself is so damn important when trying to approach Women.

Social proof works so well you can fake it.

Get 1 of your friends to act like you’re a celeb on your date, she will treat you VERY differently.

Let another girl come and hug you, or the server of the restaurant at so happy to see you, anything… gets you soooooo much further than any words you can say

I have been observing this in my life for years, so I can speak on my experience.

Social proof is NOT important but VERY useful if you can apply it.

For a small example from my experiences, I went to nightclubs for many years. About 8.

For the first 4, I was a nobody. But I was still me, so I still had experiences which were pretty great.

For the last 4 years, I was top dog. I was very integrated into the scene, and everybody knew me. I was a bit of a mini celebrity. I would walk into places for free, and go into VIP sections for free. I knew owners and bouncers, and they knew me.

In the last half, my life was significantly different. Not only were IOIs way more obvious everywhere I went, because wherever I went I became the star of the show. People would honor me and treat me as an important person, even though I wasn't due to my status. This opened up a lot of doors and prevented me having to do a lot of opening/comfort/rapport building work. Both male and female.

I will say that it did not make women approach me more but made it easier to approach them in pretty much every way, and made them more receptive and less likely to hard reject because of my status in the scene as well. If they were rude to me it would blow back on them. Being more integrated socially also opened a lot of doors to more side opportunities.

When you’re seen around other women (especially ones who are attractive or clearly enjoy being around you), it short-circuits a lot of the natural skepticism. You’re pre-approved. Girls assume you’re safe, fun, and probably have something going for you. It’s not even conscious most of the time, just instinctual.

I’ve seen dudes go from invisible to magnetic just by tweaking their environment and stacking a few mixed social settings.

It depends on the place, and the girls. I once fucked a bartender at hooters, the same year I fucked the rest of her friends at hooters, yes girls talk, specially if you fucked them good, the manager at this location, and some regulars hated me, because as soon as I walked in girls would say my name, and come say hi to me, and flirt with me, and I shut them men when they come try to be friends with me, I ditched them. I once said to one of them I only like to hang out with girls, I have enough guy friends already, I didn’t want any of them goofy men to talk to me period.

I think it's more important to demonstrate status/work, at least in my experiences with 25+ crowds. LinkedIn is actually pretty good in that regard. Regular old Facebook as well. Most women want to know that you're employed and ambitious. If you say you are "self employed," for example, you better have some proof because they will assume you are unemployed. Women are too used to guys who exaggerate their actual job, their height, age and so forth.

I keep a business card with me that has a professional headshot with link to my business site, etc, and it has worked well. I've actually been outright rejected several times after approaching and handed her my card. I'll assume they got curious and googled/checked business out because sometimes they had second thoughts and ended up texting or even calling.

Be honest when dating and especially never exaggerate your age, job or height.

As a guy that goes out alone a lot, women are big on social circles and warm introductions. If you're all by yourself they think somethings wrong with you. And when meeting new people they tend to favor warm introductions through friends, and are quite guarded and closed off to strangers trying to cold approach. I think this is why a lot of times you'll see a guy with a girl a bit out of his league. They've made their dating pool too small so they end up with somebody thats not really their equal.

It depends on the situation and the woman. In certain settings, it will get you laid. If other women talk about you or have slept with you, some women will find that attractive. However, it is not the end all be all. You can get laid without it. You can even generate social proof by making friends with people in the room. Some women will find that very attractive. But you don't need to. You can get laid without it.

It can be very important, but you have to consider what exactly social proof does for you. It answers questions she's going to have about you if she finds you at all attractive - are you safe, do you have value in the dating market, are you going to be fun to engage with, and are you confident/competent. You can answer these questions for her within 30 seconds (please don't tell a woman you're safe, valuable, fun, confident, and competent) or she can see it on you with how you're interacting with people who she sees as peers (or better, as superiors).
