Compliments. I love to open with a compliment because it is direct and conveys my intent.

"I like your hair."

"You have nice eyes."

"Your smile is nice."

These compliments are boring and overused. If she's heard it once, she's heard it a hundred times. This is not a way to differentiate yourself from all the other suitors she faces day after day after day. Here are some tips and examples of compliments and compliment strategy I use which has been effective on me.

  1. Compliment her eyebrows.

Women pay $20 - $35 for sculpted eyebrows every 3 weeks to a month. They put in time and effort into eyebrows so that they are perfectly symmetrical. Yet no guy every compliments them on it. It is one of the most prominent features on her face, however it is overlooked. You compliment her eyebrows and how well she did them you will stand out from the masses that do generic compliments.

  1. Compliment her walk.

If I am approaching a walking set and I notice she walks with confidence and poise, I will compliment her on it. Women appreciate being complimented on what they do, not just who they are.

  1. Compliment the scenery.

When I go to the park, I like to say how "romantic" she looks sitting in the grass with the sun on her face and the blanket under her. I say it is a perfect photo opportunity and women thank me for this type of compliment.

Compliments come in 3 forms:

Form 1: I like that dress.

Form 2: That is a nice dress.

Form 3: That dress looks nice on you.

Each 3 compliments are seemingly similar and innocuous. However each one carries a striking difference. Form 1 compliments yourself. Form 2 compliments the dress. Form 3 compliments the woman. From least to most powerful impact, Form 1 is the least powerful and Form 3 is the most powerful.

One final word: one compliment is enough to open up the conversation. I wouldn't shower her with compliments because it makes you look value seeking. If you hear her saying thank you a hundred times, perhaps tone down the compliments you are giving.
