To me, the last time happened a month ago, when I casually met a latina in a club, she was on a date with a “not so experienced” guy. He was barely trying to escalate in an awkward way, while she was clearly giving her attention to me and doing some spicy chitchat. I looked at that guy, I’ve seen he recognized what was happening and his eyes were screaming “OH Nooo! Again!” while trying to hide it in some way. That guy could have been anyone, including me, in another time or situation.

It’s not just an abstract “bro code”, it’s about having respect for others.

I personally don’t like to step on toes or compete for girls with friends because most guys can’t handle it when you get the girl and not them. Also you need tough skin if she ends up chosing your friend. There’s so many girls in the world so its not worth it.
