i thought of something like this. I gave up the idea in the following scenario:

HBX: blah blah (insert shit test)

sedditor: ummm hold on *whips phone out for solution ..... (insert cocky/funny remark) *turn away and start talking to someone else

I'm sure it would be good for it, but it would give canned material new meaning.

A webapp that is designed for mobile would be best, especially as a starting point. It'd suck if you made this app for iOS only to find out that Apple doesn't like it and it never comes out.

This would rule. Especially if there were a mini-game style set-up of shit tests or the like. I think alot of people could really get in to the game idea as I see alot of Sedditors mention being nerdy guys who decided to have a great life and study Human/Female Interaction instead of IT... Or just both.

Sounds pretty great to me. Some ideas:

Make something like a library. Like, there are some categorys and the deeper you go, the more specific are the categorys. And in the end, you'll find an article with stuff you want to read, something like and ebook (somewhat similar to this barney-stinson-app-thing).

Include other information, not just seddit. There are millions of communities out there, spitting out information.

You also may include a 'safe' for numbers you got while playing the game, somewhat similar to 'my secret folder'.

I'll comment if there comes anything else to my mind. Furthermore, if you need help, PM me. I do front-end stuff. No experience in coding whatsoever. And excuse my grammar, non-native speaker here.

I believe there was a post recently about a list of things a sedditor should do. Things like having an extra toothbrush at home, a nice mattress, etc.

I seem to also remember a mod wanting to add it to the sidebar. I can't find it at the moment but maybe you can. I think it'd be helpful.

Great idea to make this, hope you go through with it.

As a suggestion, although it's not seddit directly there have been some posts about funniest pick up line, dirtiest pick up line, funniest one liner, etc. I find all those are great ice breakers anywhere you go. Nothing like making someone laugh to break the ice. Let me know if you want to add that and I can find you the links.

I had a similar idea some time ago and pitched it informally to Neil Strauss - his assistant quickly but politely brushed me off saying that they had a tie up with a more established player in the app world to make this sort of app. No idea whether anything has come out of that though.

Phonegap is pretty easy all u need to know is html and some java script no objective-c needed. It will be pretty to easy to make like an informative list with tips/info and what not
