If you cringe at videos like this, stop watching them. The original intent was to show how easy pickup can be if you find ways to be confident, approach, and keep the conversation going.

Unfortunately, newer videos are about one thing MONETIZATION. It's very hard to find a [FR] type video that doesn't clearly have some element of staged production.

What you have to do is simple - go back in time about 15-20 years...

The PUAs on Usenet and some web BBS communities didn't have videos - the bandwidth simply wasn't there. There were only written field reports, meetups, a few boot camps (depending on your city), and of course the shit you learned yourself.

And it's the last one - the shit you learn yourself - which is still the most valuable today.

New Year's Eve going into 2013. I had been reading and practicing PUA stuff for almost a year, but never really did much other than the occasional approach or something that was really safe.

I ran into a friend of a friend, who let me in on the fact that he too read up on some PUA stuff.

He clearly didn't know half of the shit he was talking about. I watched him in the bar be a fucking moron. Wow what a....oh...he's making out with that girl.

We're talking and he...oh god...why is he saying this shit to another girl? How the fuck does he think this is okay? Ahh she's just being polite. Oh...he's getting out his phone, and getting her number. Christ. Okay, beginner's luck.

11:55. It's about to strike midnight. I'm by myself, being a goober, and I haven't really done much other than talk a few non-sequitors at a few women. Looks like Mr. Casanova doesn't have a girl either. Haha what a fucking tool. Okay, well, I can probably get someone before he does....oh wait, he's holding hands with this HB8. Okay, well two can play at that game...

And I ended the night with a pity kiss from my other buddy's fiance....on the cheek of course.

It smacked me hard in the face. Knowledge is pointless. Ideas are worthless...unless you put them to action. Sometimes you have to fail. I learned that this guy fails a lot, and learns. This is why it was so easy for him to give zero fucks and do what he did.

Reading up on PUA stuff is fine. It should enlighten you, inspire you, and even motivate you. But fuck - get out there and fail. Fail and fail and fail. Then you'll eventually succeed...and fail...but you'll find that you overthought everything, stared at corny videos in disbelief, and doubted some techniques for nothing - they work. They all can work. You just have to let them.

I lived in LA for 6 years. I don't understand why people are saying this is how people from LA talk. They don't. This guy comes off as very effeminate/gay. That somehow works for some guys.
