I agree with the sentiment and all but so do probably 99% of people on here.

The problem isn't loving themselves, its how to do it, and you haven't really helped with that by saying this. Its like telling someone to be confident. I'm sure everyone would want that but people who aren't confident can't just flip a switch and all of a sudden be confident just like people who don't respect themselves can't just flip a switch and they'll respect themselves, they need some direction on how to do that.

YOU ARE A BOSS. You just forgot it because you don't fucking pay attention.

Also, I'd like to beg to differ. I don't think its a good idea to just indiscriminately tell everyone they're a boss or they're enough or whatever because that takes away all sense of responsibility and makes everyone entitled.

Its like how women expect to be treated like princesses just for showing up because magazines and social media always tell them they already deserve that regardless of their current position in life or their inadequacies and failings.

If it was true that everyone is enough then everyone should be a champion, everyone should be a billionaire, everyone should already have everything they want.

If you're not happy with where your life is yet then you're not yet enough for that life that you want. Develop yourself, constantly become a better person, because that's the best way to raise the likelihood that you will be enough one day. Telling yourself you're enough for just existing only makes you delusional.

I'm in... sort of an agreement with the envy part.

I used to be envious of my wing 'cuz he pulled so many instadates and I didn't get a single one.

However, I utilized my envy to push and improve myself at a much faster rate compared to going out alone. Now I get more instadates than he does.

Envy can be a useful tool.

I think you skipped over the process to go from self loathing and despising oneself to acceptance and self satisfaction. For example I still feel (irrational) envy towards the intelligence of my peers at my study. I fucking try to realise that is makes no sense to be envious about it. But it can take years. And that is fine. It is a process that we all have to learn and go through at our own pace.

It is not bad to be desired to or want to be desired by someone or several people.
