I've had the same exact thing happen to me before.

You are talking to a girl, everything is going great, she's receptive to you, you talk for months and all is good. Then one day, you get one word responses, or none at all. She says things like she's busy all the time. She may even get harsh at some point. You can tell something is off.

In my case, there was no recovery. Don't make the same mistake I did, which was to keep trying. It eventually blew up when I tried to get too close to the girl. It wasn't good. And I did nothing wrong, just acted normally.

This was years ago and I learned from it. Best to have an abundance mentality and don't get caught up with one girl. Don't get too high on particular girls, especially over weeks or months. Do whatever you can to have options. If it works with one girl, then great. But, be looking at other girls too and don't count on the girl coming around.

If its any consolation, there are probably cave paintings of cave men describing this bs. Thats a joke, but. the point is Its been going on for years and years. Millions of men have gone through it. Its just how some women are and men have been dealing with it forever.

Again, don't put all your eggs in one basket as the saying goes.

You have to understand something about women: they're absolutely ruthless when they lose interest in a guy. Especially when they're that young. They will get cold and break things off instantly, doesn't matter if it's a 6 month fling or a 8 year-old relationship. And the more you whined to her about your feelings, the more she lost respect and interest in you. So tough lesson learned and now you can move on!

Woman here. First of all: it‘s totally normal that you are feeling down and I recommend really going through your emotions instead of distracting yourself with e.g. other girls.

I‘ve already been on both sides of this situation and it could be possible that she created an illusion of you in her head which didn‘t match with the real you on that date but I guess that you will never know and have to accept that she‘s just not the one for you.

I recommend not to force communication if a specific person pulls away after you‘ve told them that you noticed their sudden lack of interest.

But if that happens for the first time I would definitely ask them why they are acting this way. You never know what they are going through…

Always remember that you are worthy of having a person that loves talking to you. I‘m sure you‘ll find someone like that one day.

Bro I understand you. I've lived a similar situation with a girl I liked for like 6 years or more. You can't do anything about that. That girl has lost interest in you but it doesn't mean that you're lame or whatever. Just focus. Keep working on yourself. She’s the one thats supposed to catch feelings first, thats the first mistake you’ve made. Second mistake is that you gave her all your attention and kept talking to her as a friend, the only times you should be talking to her is when you’re planning when to meet. Ofcourse the random banter and flirty talk is the exception to this.

What you can do now is treat her as she treats you. There’s no excuse for disrespect. Next her if you can but at least for now start by giving her less of your attention. If she’s still interested she’ll hit you up.

The breaking point was the date. The date was mediocre at best for her, and since then she lost all interest.

The reason she replies like that is to signal in the most polite way possible that she is not interested.

Girls won’t be direct in telling you they are not interested, so what they do is become super cold, dry, text slow, and show a lot of indifference, and give you constant excuses to not go out with you, saying they are suddenly busy, even though they are not that busy.

What you had over texts was a different experience for her than what you two had when you met in person. She realised that she liked you more over texts than in real life.

And that is what caused her to lose interest. Because texting isn’t real, what matters is what happens in person. And unfortunately for you, you are less interesting in person than over texts.

So yeah, time to move on.

And never say to a woman what’s wrong, or that you noticed that her behaviour changed, or that you noticed she lost interest…

Well, in the post you mentioned that you found it odd that her obeying you was not something you were used to. Based on that, it seemed that she was trying to be "submissive" and expected you to lead and be more "alpha" or masculine. Not sure how the date was in detail, but she probably wanted that. She might not have been able to read it through text, but when the date happened, she felt that.

I don't know you personally so I am not the one to judge you.

It sucks that you wasted six months, but just move on. Do not let her change you as a person. You seem to be a good person.

Don't let someone tell you they aren't interested whether it is verbally or through their actions. Don't invest time in someone who isn't willing to do the same. Treat yourself don't cheat yourself. Self respect is self love.

Work on yourself, improve in work, school, trade, and/or gym, and invest in yourself.

Still approach women, but not at the expense of your self improvement and character.

Lots of guys went through this; bad dates, rejection, no first dates, no dates after the first date, sexual rejection, and everything else.

The person you went on date with is not worth your time, energy, love, and care. You are too good for her anyways and it is her loss anyways. Don't let her change you.

Yeah man I had something kinda similar happen to me it was my first go around tryna date I caught feelings fast but was afraid to makes moves etc. Got the slow ghosting exactly like you did got flaked on many times towards the end and was blind to see that it was over and was super depressed afterwards.

Learned a lot from that experience in a way I’m glad it happened because that’s what really made me hop on my self improvement journey. Just know you’ll be alright dude it’s okay to feel down after something like this but don’t stay there and beat yourself up like I did.
