Agree for the most part. There are some instances I see on here where a dude will approach anyone with a pulse on their college campus. If you're not tactical or selective, it could easily brand you as a creep and fuck up your social life.

The biggest fear I always hear is men are afraid of getting canceled. And I just think that’s super exaggerated. I’ve done like 1000 approaches, many of them awkward as hell, and I don’t think I’ve had any major long term social consequences from it. Worst case, you can just move to another city and start over, and 99.9 times out of 100, that won’t be necessary.

I don't mind rejection. But I'm always insecure about being viewed as a creep. There's a few guys at the gym who have that status. So I tend to keep my head down and not talk to anybody and keep to myself so I don't risk that kind of reputation.

I’ve never approached a girl in person, and certainly not a stranger. I’m not very funny yet and I lost my personality when after a few traumatic relationships, mostly caused by me. Now being 20 and seeing all these stories about girls being creeped out by people approaching them in public and my stuttering makes it very difficult for me to approach a girl especially since I don’t know how to escalate or be charming in the slightest. Hopefully this sub will help me change that
