We all heard it mentioned a lot of times.

"Dating is a numbers game"

Meaning in essence that there is a lot left to chance. So you have to try a lot. Because even if you are perfect there will be random factors that prevent your romance or fling from happening.

You can be her dream guy but her ex called and they are back together. Or she isn't into your type of guy this summer. Or she is feeling depressed etc etc.

I was ghosted recently. In the past I would doubt myself. But now I am like: It could be me, but also one of these random factors.

But I wonder if it truly a numbers game. Or only a numbers game for people who aren't skilled at seducing.

So what do you think? Is the "numbers game" idea for people who are not that good at seducing or does even the best seducer get rejected half of the time?

Edit: To make things less complicated lets narrow it to "single available IOI girl you approach to single available IOI girl you approach and fuck"(not matter how much work it took) Because a lot of commenters seems to also include obvious fails like girls who already have a bf etc. I don't think it is really a rejecting if a girl is married or a lesbian etc. And not very useful to know how much time you have been rejected by married or lesbian etc.
