Yes and no. They want someone that is genuine and honest(assuming ur talking about real attraction, and not fake forced shit) but not someone that gives themselves away indiscriminately. Or being too sensitive. If you are too much like that, youll become naive, and start seeing the world through rose colored glasses, in the sense that its all going to be seen from emotion. You also will pretty much be unguarded all the time and leave yourself vulnerable for people that will want to take advantage of you. And yes, women can and will do that, if the opportunity arises. There is a big difference between having a more sensitive side, vs being a “simp”, acting too feminine, and so on. Ideally, you should have a healthy balance between being logical, rational, stoic, and having some emotional side to you as well. I have learned to only show my emotions selectively and when people earned it. Rest of them i keep my guard up until they earn it too. Based on your post, there is probably a valid reason why youve been called a simp, which i would actually label more as “nice guy”

Simp is a word for simple minded individuals who places getting a females attention over their own self worth.

Example:

Leslie is a hot female who gets lots of attention. She uses her looks to her advantage and gets nice guys to buy her things. She gives these guys minimal effort back to but they still insist on buying her time. She has a simp name Ryan who pays for her nails in exchange for attention through text messages. Ryan subscribes to Leslie’s only fans and pays large donations. One time she had Ryan take her out to eat and go shopping even though she told him she’s not romantically interested. Another time she has Ryan pick her and her friends up at 2am from the bar even though he has to work at 5am. She sent him home after he drops them off. Ryan enjoys being in her presence so much that he dosent mind being inconvenienced by her requests. Ryan tells all his friends he’s dating Leslie. Ryan’s friends tell ryan his simping. Ryan gets big mad and writes a Reddit post about nice guys not being Simps.

Simping is - by definition - giving positive attention to women when it isn't either being welcomed or reciprocated, to the point of self-deprecation.

There have been a few other words used in the past. Being an AFC (average frustrated chump), or "pedestaling" women.

If you are compromising your identity, your life, your finances, your happiness, in order to get some tail - then you are a simp.

The problem is that the word ‘simp’ is way too misused. It is often used to make one feel better about himself by putting another guy down. When it is used in this manner, the word loses all true meaning and just becomes a brainless put-down to a guy. The word however, can be used correctly to describe a guy who is overly submissive to a female and gains nothing from it.

Some people use simp in a toxic way but some people are genuine. One of the cool things about men is that we can learn from tough love. So sometimes when I am actually simping it’s actually a nice wake up call when a friend or even a stranger gives me a wake up call by calling me a simp. If you’re that offended by it it’s probably your own insecurity that you should work on. Because if you are not a simp then you would just think “Oh this is just some idiot dude who knows nothing about me.” If you get offended then deep down you know you’re simping.

You also seem to have a few of your terms mixed up. For example You said confident doesn’t mean alpha but that women want genuine dudes. Well confidence and genuineness are essentially the same thing.

Your last point about how you’re just sharing and it’s not hard to get laid. Well I’m not saying that you ARE insecure because I don’t know you, but I’m just letting you know that that comes across as super insecure.
