I think you are categorizing guys you are looking at into one of the generic categories you mentioned, and then you’re asking why girls like those guys.

It's much easier to determine that a guy has himself figured out if he consistently is the same guy. Being very dynamic as you call it might make you come off as a people pleaser or social chameleon, your identity changes depending on who you're with, so who even are you? It's not desirable as it might seem you don't have the confidence to just be someone.

Simply put you're likely adapting yourself too much to the girl you're with and it probably doesn't come off as authentic as these guys who stick to their style no matter what.

Doesn't mean you have to fall into a stereotype, just stick to the persona you want to be the most even if others disapprove of it.

Another way to look at it is that you're the boring average guy who blends in with the rest, that's why they don't know what to make of you, because you aren't any particular type of guy.

I consider myself to be a guy who can wear many hats. I like to workout but i’m not a gym bro. I am a bit of a hippy but don’t dress like one. I look foreign but am completely American. It just seems stupid that they like such basic one dimensional guys.

The fact you think this makes you some kind of unicorn just shows you suffer from main character syndrome. You're not that different from pretty much every guy out there.. That's not dynamic.

I'm saying this in a friendly tone: The fact that you're wasting time and energy obsessing over these other men would already give a clue as to why you are where you are. Focus on yourself, be the best you. You can't read other people 100pct, the same way other people can't read you 100pct. There's no point wasting energy on this.

Theyre probably not generic, just good at something. Like someone could workout casually and also be very knowledgeable about investing, and to you he's a finance bro.

Meanwhile youre probably doing all these too, but youre not particularly outstanding in any of them so you consider yourself 'dynamic'.

It's because they are simple men who know who they are and don't change constantly. They are consistent, which sends a great message to women. When she likes you for a certain reason and then 2 weeks later you completely change it's going to bother her.

I never had success on dating apps until I began to act like the most basic, boring, generic turd in existence.

I kind of agree with OP. Many women do seem to have a thing for boring one-dimensional generic guys, but it could also be that those women are boring and predictable themselves. I kind of take after you a bit in that it’s hard to put me in a box, partly because my interests are so varied. That said, there are plenty of women who like interesting guys who can’t easily be categorized as it lends an element of intrigue.

Because you're not polarising. A guy who likes everything is perceived as a guy who likes nothing by women and that is not perceived as attractive. You should aim to make her to either like you or not. No in-between. If she doesn't like you, you already won because you polarised her and successfully disabled tactics such as mixed signals, friendzone ecc. It's impossible that you like everything so you most likely adapt to anything that by women is seen as "huh this guy is not really passionate about anything" while from guys (myself included) it's seen "wow this guy is a capable man".
