Probably. My husband kinda tried to lead me to believe he had 5 sex partners. But he was including me before we had sex haha. I said I'd prefer you had less than more, why would you try to imply one extra? He said he was bullied as a teenager for not banging women who threw themselves at him because he was hot. Friends would pressure him to do stuff at parties and ask him if he was gay etc. That's actually what resulted in 2 of his sex partners and he didn't even want to do it, and faked an orgasm so he could stop. Now he is a very sexual man, passionate, good lover... but a religious upbringing with no real communication or guidance combined with pressure from peers, yeah it fucks with mens minds and some carry that to adulthood. The world isn't very appreciative of male demisexuals. He's an amazing man and the best sex I ever had, he's an intense lover, I truly love his way but I certainly had to help mend him sexually because that past combined with only having sex ed from porn? Well luckily we were naturally compatible because that's a recipe for disaster. If I wasn't a communicator, I have no idea how our sex life would have gone down to be honest. I'd had less partners than him but I'm a communicator and he wasn't, and none of his exes were. I would describe it like he felt in the dark with sex and like sex was an extremely high pressure event that yes he biologically wanted a lot, but emotionally it was just so anxiety provoking. It's pretty common and not enough men talk about it. He said he completely changed sexually with me because he never anticipated being able to tell anybody or talk about it all so openly. The pressure to perform is moreso on the man, at least physically. Women have our own pressures but we don't have to maintain an erection. Men get a lot of pressure that they should be good sexual performers but not enough guidance on what that means. Some men are seriously out there thinking women just have one long mild orgasm through the whole thing because that's how they act in porn... some men are out there thinking so long as they stayed hard and came, they're doing the main thing to avoid disappointing the woman. Yeah sone men are just assholes but some are nice guys who are just freaking clueless.

Edit: I knew it. It’s the dumb one that never tell people how many people lied and how much they lied. It only said “They lied” and only shows the mean, which is flimsy evidence because its taking into account outliers.

If this is an old study it make 0 correlation to today where people are way more honest about sexual history because of lack of religious guilt and/or societal acceptance of virginity.

thats why the rate of men who didnt have sex in 2018 is way more than just 30%. and im sure it got worse until 2021, im guessing its 40% or more. and also i can think of men who just got lucky with a ons (and then didnt get sex for a long time)/or go to escorts lie and get removed from the 30%. so im sure its way higher.

Falls under the no shit category. 30 years ago there was the urban legend. For guys subtract 3 from whatever they said and woman on average multiplication by 3 if I remember right. Meant guys says 4 means 1 girl says 1 means 3. In sum everyone lies about this
