If the girl is attracted to you, she will laugh even if you say something nerdish or corny, so you really don't need to try to be a comedian or put much thought into it.

In fact, being socially oblivious is what makes girls giggle. It's the opposite of "try hard" energy and her emotions lift because she feels you aren't trying too hard and you might be preselected.

No more than 10 minutes ago I was at the parts counter at a dealership and I slipped and started nerding out with the girl over the diagram I was shown. Nothing I said was comical, I have a gf and I wasn't trying to turn anyone on...yet she's almost red in the face laughing and kept playing with her hair and fucking me with her eyes.

The less you care about exerting effort into being funny, the more likely you are to hit flow state so you can actually be funny when you want to.

Either way, when a girl likes you, you are funny even when you're not. When a girl is not interested, you are not funny even if you are.

Watch stand up comedy from different comedians and their podcast if they have them, see what style you can copy the most. Some people are good with one liners, others sarcasm. You just need to be able to display a sense of humor no need to be hilarious.

Discount what women say they want, because it's different from what they actually want and get. "Make me laugh" in womanese means "please be a cool high-valued confident guy", someone self-amused that doesn't need her to be happy (and definitely doesn't try to be funny or entertain her).

When you exude these traits, she will tell you "you are funny, you crack me up, you are too much" etc.. with minimal or no (!) talk on your part. It's not that you are actually funny, but everything you say lights her up.

Strive to be a successful man with his life in order that unapologetically goes after his wants.

When girls say they want guys who can make them laugh its because being funny comes from having wit and being bold/brash, which are independently attractive qualities.

Stuff like agree and exaggerate for passing shit tests, misinterpretation, hypothetical story telling, being able tk gently make fun of her are all good game that relies on comedic principles.

Learn basic comedic principles, think of how you can incorporate those into your shit test responses, teases, and story telling. Take an improv comedy class.

Ok this is one of the things I know a great deal about.

Being funny alone doesn’t work. I have always made an extraordinary effort to be funny because I thought that way, I would be better accepted. So with time it became effortless. People regularly praise me for humor, wit, you name it.

But since I never had any of the actual seduction skills down, I never could do anything with that. Like I don’t remember getting laid once through this. I always remember the “boring” individuals getting the girls. By “boring” I mean ones who didn’t really say or do anything memorable.

So I would go as far as to say that it is useless in dating. Or perhaps even outright dangerous, I don’t know. I think it is because in reality, it is your thinking brain in disguise. Trying to perform, trying to think of something cool to say. Others may laugh at your jokes, but the normal, chill guy next to you will actually get the girls.

Cocky confident funny. Cover boldness with more boldness- eg if you say something that they don’t take well don’t show fear don’t back down about it and know you can talk yourself out of and into anything

I’m the same way. Internal processor, observer, a little reserved, serious, deep thinker; all that. I’d say you do have to fake it a little. I don’t mean them, I mean yourself. Fake to yourself that nothing is that serious and you need to let the conversation determine what your boundaries are. Sometimes you need to break your own rules.

But yes, if she’s attracted, she will laugh at anything. Just make sure to not overly encourage laughter or retract if it wasn’t meant to be funny. Push, pull, and escalate.

When they say it they mean regular dude funny like when you’re with your guys in a bar or something. Be a clown or a stand up comedian and you’ll chase them away. So have dude friends and riff with them

Surely there is a method, I'm really good at seeing connections in insignificant places, most of my humour comes to that, I make stupid analogies, they make sense but they are dumb, which happens to be funny to most people. I think that might a good start is thinking of how things are connected in ways that are philosophical, contextual, natural etc, any connections to other things will help with humour. I think if you're not funny, you just have to not try to be and also not be afraid of making very dry jokes, some if my worst jokes have gotten laughs purely because they're bad dad jokes 🤷
