So about a week ago, I'm at whole foods, and I'm talking to this very cute girl. I've talked to her a few times before this, and try to pick her line whenever I check out. I weakly try to make conversation, and I almost asked for her number but didn't because I go here often, and if she says yes or no, I don't want it to be weird everytime I go grocery shopping.

Anyway, I'm browsing okcupid and I see this update on my feed, and it's HER. She's switching her status from single to seeing someone. I feel like I missed a HUGE fucking opportunity here. I message her, she responds immediately, we talk for awhile, and she barely remembers me. She says I look familiar but doesn't know where she remembers me from.

This is the massive realization that I've come to. I had the opportunity to make a great lasting impression instead of my weak ass hellos, my uncombed hair, unflattering clothes and my failed ass attempts at small talk, and I could have had the balls to ask her out. I was like EVERY OTHER GUY, that walks through her line. I could have been well-dressed, well spoken, confident, made her laugh, and CLOSED. This is what I'm realizing. There are opportunities, EVERYWHERE. Make sure you are prepared to take them. Be confident, dress well, make a great impression and close. There are no excuses why you shouldn't, because had I done those things, there would have been a very high chance that I would have gotten her number, and who knows from there. I'm done lying to myself and making excuses. It's time to take ACTION.
