This is especially susceptible to happen if you don't appear alpha to a man, and he thinks he is better than you. Reduce chance of it happening by dressing better and having better body language.

When a guy does this I usually start hitting on them with increasing obviousness, 80% are made uncomfortable enough to leave. 20% pretend to like it or are actually Bi, and then I somehow end up befriending them and they just leave out of politeness/respect, or we all talk together as a 4.

This happens to me every time i go out. if he comes up and starts talking to you Introduce yourself with a name to establish you don't know him. Interrupt him if you have to. Then ask one of the girls if this was a friend they were meeting. (Got to make sure its not a boyfriend or something like that) Do all this without loosing control of the conversation do this while smiling and remaining confident. If the girls say no then ignore him. Sounds like to me though the girls were not that interested in you and these guys could smell it. Most of the time this kills a set regardless if you cant defuse it quickly enough i wouldn't re-approach next time. But if you get good at defusing it you can start to use it in your favor.

What I've done in the past is silly shit to disarm them like:

Point at shirt and say "what's this?" then do the while run finger up to face thing, then whisper to girl "it's cute when they fall for it, just like my little sister," then she'll most likely let out a giggle. The guy will probably be like "wtf dude," and depending on drunkness, be overly aggressive, but you've ridiculed him in front of the girl, so you can ignore him, ignore him and take the girl somewhere else, or roll up your sleeves and dance.

"This time I ignore the guy" This is submissive behavior, don't do it. If anything turn your back to the guy, face the girl, and ignore him in order to establish your boundaries. You were there first, you have the right to the girl because you were ballsier and approached quicker.

Also it helps to build muscle. The more it looks like you can crush a guys skull with one hand the less likely anyone will have the kahones to steal your girls

This has actually never happened to me.

In fact, I have never ever been hassled for a fight or anything.

I think it's body language and rested facial expressions. It is definetly something you can do something about.

Also: Are you dressing in a certain way that could be "offensive" to him. eh...what I mean is: could you be labeled something like a "hipster" or something that gives the guy an excuse, say if he was dressed as a gangstah?

Picking location after what you wear can avoid these confrontations altogether. Just a point. Not saying you should do that, but if it happens a lot it can be good to change venues.

What's worked well for me is to joke and mess around with them. Here's something I've done a few times.

A good percentage of people who are alpha will be fairly well built. I'll say something like "hey, check you out.. you must work out all the time", and then grab and squeeze their pecs. A lot of guys are a little homophobic, or just don't like being touched by a stranger, and back off from you. If they back off, you've asserted some form of dominance, and can keep grabbing them for fun when you want. If they go along with it, it shows that you aren't scared of them, and helps level out the playing field.

It's so frustrating to deal with the Alpha personality. Sometimes I want to scream and say "girls do not like the way you are acting right now".
