Happened the same to me last time I had a tinder date.

Thought it was because the girl just wanted a ONS, in reality it was that the girl was just private and didn't want to give away his social to random dudes on Tinder.

Sounds like you’ve already done the groundwork. Be pragmatic. Tinder is for connecting, other messaging apps are for actually talking.

Maybe I'm overly cautious these days. But in my experience, the girls who don't want to move off tinder are in it for a meal. It's easier to block you on tinder than with a phone number that has her real name attached, so it keeps them safer when they ghost you after the meal.

I have similar going on with a woman in Bumble. We had been messaging for three days and getting along well when I offered her my number. She responds the next day saying her phone died (BTW worlds biggest bullshit excuse - my phone NEVER dies because I make sure it’s charged) and that she likes to “take it slow”.

Keeping in mind that her bio says specifically that she “doesn’t want to keep messaging” and that her ideal is a guy who “comes to her place and takes her out on an adventure locally or far away”.

So I have basically kept a minimal chat going but back burnered her in favor of others because I don’t like to waste time with that nonsense and attention validation crap.

A tactic I use that works almost every time is saying something along the lines of "I'm not really on _____ like that, is there anywhere else I can reach you?" Notice how I don't bring up the number. This is cause I find that a lot of them are kinda iffy about giving it out to someone they haven't met yet. When you don't mention the number then they have a choice of choosing what they'll give you

I don't understand why you're so concerned about moving conversation off tinder when she is ready to meet up with you. Just meet up with her and get her number after if it goes well. Isn't the goal in the first place to set up a date? Also for the first date unless she seems like a high quality gal, I would not recommend sushi or food, since it's the guy paying for it and that shit adds up in the long run lol. But it's kind of too late since you already suggested it . My go to is if I get a decent conversation going with the girl then i ask for a phone date, a compatibility check. I can't tell you how many times when i wish I didn't bother taking the girl out for coffee after listening to their voice or when they start sharing a little bit more about themselves. No need to dress up, get ready and drive, just a casual innocent chat and a great way to show your personality if you had one in the first place.

When you match with a girl on Tinder, and after the minimum level of conversation, your goal should be to have a date. Ask for their WhatsApp and set a date at a given day, time and place. I just use my phone to have dates, I don't get into long conversations on Tinder/WhatsApp, calls, etc... How you manage dates is actually a different topic though.

You should only focus on the date and being present (mentally, not just physically). Maybe she just wants to see how you really are before thinking about something more serious, which is a good approach from my point of view.

Keep it genuine and don't stress it. If it's meant to be it will be, if not...just stop. Better with no relationship than a toxic relationship, trust me.
