Flip the statistics, if it were only 3% cases that were legitimate, they'd still make a huge stink out how rape is a horrible widespread crime that can ruin lives and we need to do everything possible to stop it. It doesn't matter what statistics show, like women excelling in college, feminists have an agenda and it always makes them the victim.

Situations like this are so sad. I feel like it should be obvious that communication is a requirement for solving any problem. Rape happens. False accusations happen. I'm less concerned with the numbers and more concerned with sorting out a system that protects both legitimate (::I cringe using that word in this sentence after all the recent hullabaloo::) rape victims, and those falsely accused of rape.

I had this problem in one of my post. Someone posted a well thought out response question a video I linked. Instead of people writing why they thought he was wrong, they just down voted him to hell. (I up voted him and typed out a response on why I felt he was wrong.)

I don't care about people down voting, just write in a respective manner why you didn't like my statement or response.

I come here to expand my knowledge and meet awesome new people. Not be down voted and called a "faggot pussy" for expressing my opinion. If I wanted that I would go to church and tell people I'm atheist.

I'm proud to take part in a community where descending to that guy's level is more the exception then the norm. 90% of the reason I started posting here regularly (besides agreeing with the facts provided here) is that this subreddit does a good job keeping it classy as a Victorian gentleman.

It's the same reason why there's still 9/11 conspiracy theorists standing on street corners at my university, some people just aren't going to be able to be reasonable and have reasonable discussions, they've made their decision and there's no way to talk to them about it. Either that or they're assholes.

(Wow I need to go to bed, took me 10 minutes to figure out how to spell decision close enough to be able to google it and figure out the right spelling.)
