Lets make one thing perfectly clear here: I make fun of each and every education that does not contribute to society. This includes womens studies, not because I hate wonen, but because it's an education funded by the government to tell people that men are satan. When you have your womens studies "diploma" the only contribution to society you can make is telling others that men are satan.

I don't make fun on women's studies classes as cooking classes, I make fun of women's studies classes because they're a waste of money. At the university I attend at least it's pretty common for the science majors and the nurses (me) to loathe the gender studies people because they take such bullshit courses as Gal Pals (I'm not fucking kidding you this is an actual course that a friend of mine had to take during her gender studies/social work degree). Gender studies should at best be offered as a minor, I'm sorry but it's not backed up by theory, it's backed up by hypotheses which you can't contradict without being called a misogynist

I've taken a "men's studies" class. Learned more about enforced gender roles against men and women than I ever did anywhere else, and it gave me a new appreciation for how much we have to work together.

White History Month

We have a black history month, why not go the whole hog and have a Hispanic History Month, and an Asian History Month? Each race has contributed to the betterment of mankind - whites included. On the other hand, every race has treated every other race like shit, that's nothing to celebrate.

Heterosexual Awareness Month

Given that most people are heterosexual, it wouldn't make much sense to have a month to raise awareness about it. If someone can see a rationale for it, I would be happy to adjust my position.

Men's Studies Class

There's a Women's Studies class, why no Men's Studies? Last I checked, men make up roughly half the population of the fucking earth. Even if the class existed solely for the purpose of dissecting male psychology, it would be better than not having one. Men have problems, too. Some of which are worth study.

White Pride/Straight Pride

See "White History Month" and "Heterosexual Awareness Month"

Fuck you. Tumblr bitch, fuck you. Humour is a vehicle for recovery. As someone who was raped by a member of my local clergy, I can attest to that. The memories are still there and they hurt, but I've learned to come to terms with that. Making jokes about it, particularly if you were the victim helps shed light on the incident and helps you cope with it. Had I not made jokes about my incident, I probably would not be comfortable speaking about it, now. Joking about things allows one to cope with pain.

Fair is fair, equal is equal. If there is a black history month, there needs to be a white history month. If there is a gay pride month/parade/whatever, there must be a hetero pride month/parade/whatever.
