A good comparison would be the outrage over little girls' beauty pageants, like the tiaras and toddlers controversy and the discussion following the murder of Jonbenet Ramsey. The sexualization of children is, but should not be, tolerated within modern society, and there should be no less outrage over it being done to little boys than there is when it is done to little girls.

My opinion: For crying out loud, society. Let the kids be kids!

you're all missing an important point. the 6 year old male in the video is depicted as having power or ownership over adult women.

so this video is a huge example of objectification of women while simultaneously being an example of society's double standard about adult women and young boys.

[edit] for all those lacking reading comprehension, let me elaborate. in no way am I disagreeing with the OP, or the rest of you. I'm just pointing out that this video is wrong in so many ways. You all seem able to imagine the opposite, where men are gyrating for a little girl. Try imagining the contrapositive where a little girl is singing while getting waited on hand and foot by chip n' dales, while scantily clad men in construction uniforms are building her a mansion, men in business suits are slaving away for her, and ethnic pool boys in thongs are cleaning her pool. I laid it on as thick as possible in hopes that you finally get my point.

And I didn't bring up the objectification of women originally to solely benefit feminists in any way. Objectification is equally bad for both the women and the little boy. The same goes for my scenario with the little girl.

Somewhere along the last 20 years or so, this country has really lost its way. It seems that all that is wrong & selfish is looked up to as being the right way to be. Meanwhile, those families who teach their kids morals & ethics are being left behind like it's the wrong thing to do. This country is mostly fucked & quite honestly, I hate the wrong way most people are heading. This video is just another example of how the USA is so ass backwards in their thinking.

But then again, I don't know if I can totally blame them all. I mean, most of us are mindless idiots who simply imitate what's on TV. And since these retard producers of so-called "reality" shows mass produce this self-absorbed trash over our airwaves, the moronic populous that is our country no has no intelligence enough to think better than to turn the channel.

So we're left with zombie "parents" (and I use that term very loosely) who have no idea how to raise children. They have absolutely no patience or understanding in dealing with each other to try & make any kind of a relationship work. So, as typical lazy Americans do, we simply give in to the quick & easy way out of everything which is simply a divorce or a separation. Why should anyone try to work to make anything happen when they can just simply take the easy way out & feel that they're absolved of all guilt or responsibility?

It's utterly disgusting & totally irresponsible of these "adults" to act this way. This whole mass disillusion of being "all about me" & "simply fabulous" is leading our country down the shitter & it doesn't seem that anyone cares that much. The typical ignorant response to this would be something along the lines of "well, it's a free country! I can raise my kids anyway I want to!"

Ehhhhhhh.....yeah while that's a nice vacuum to live in & live with the dream that everyone else will raise your kids since they were an initially a mistake to you & now all the sudden they're "the best things that ever happened to you", the simple truth is that no one else is readily accepting of that responsibility. You did the deed...you deal with the repercussions. It's called personal responsibility & I think this is something our country has totally lost sight of.

I'm done with my rant...I think you get the idea. The main point is this...stand up for yourself & accept responsibility for your own actions. If everyone did this, the US would be a MUCH better place to live.

So stop being so FUCKING LAZY & do what is right already!!

To me there is a huge difference between:

-Beauty pageants (and it should be noticed that there are male ones too with all the same problems as frmale ones) where often parents push their kids way too far on numerous occasions.

-Having a kid act in a SINGLE music video which is a PARODY/SPOOF of "gangsta" videos.

If you actually watch the video the kid is on the verge of bursting out laughing at how stupid it all is in pretty much all the close up shots.
