I'm going to express the horribly unpopular opinion.

Feminists only claim to be for equality. Because as an organisation (and that's how I'm going to use the term from here on - referring to it as an organisation), it doesn't.

It fights for WOMEN's rights solely and to the exclusion of men globally.

To a point, that's understandable. Women have (and in places still are) been unable to live their own lives for a very long time.

That point is past in western nations. We can do whatever we please almost with impunity if we decide to. We CAN work in management jobs, we CAN join the military, we CAN vote and own property.

What feminism SHOULD be fighting for now is not JUST those areas that still require work (reproductive rights, for example), but equal RESPONSIBILITY.

Women can rape boys, and rather than support, the victim will get "you were a horny boy, you MUST have wanted it!", and she gets off with a slap on the wrist. Women can domestically abuse a man and have HIM arrested for it (that's how the Duluth model works - it's always the man at fault!). Women can stop men from seeing their children with utter impunity and wilful disregard for court orders and have nothing come of it to the point where a court here in Aus refused to give out a shared parenting arrangement because "she'd just ignore it anyway".

Where is everyone who's fighting for that? Where are the feminist organisations clamouring for women (specific, not women as an entire gender) to be held accountable for their unconscionable acts? Where was feminism when Sharon Osbourne LAUGHED at a man having his dick cut off and tossed in the waste disposal?

How is it that we can have a fair and equitable law like the Australian Shared Parenting Act of 2006 revoked in favour of a system whereby a woman can simply claim abuse and have her partner removed from their child's life forever? Yes, that's exactly what the reforms have done, and it was done at the urging of WOMEN'S GROUPS!

I'm SICK TO DEATH of the resounding silence from feminism about women NOT being held accountable for the consequences of their actions, being told that she MUST be unwell, there MUST be a reason she did something when we simply lambaste men for the same bloody thing!

If you're a feminist, great. Whatever. Just don't claim that feminism as an organisation is egalitarian because I will laugh in your face and point to this kind of stuff as proof.

EDIT: Prepare for brain explosion...
