Just like how no one cared when Boko Haram were kidnapping boys by the thousands and making them fight their war, but when 200 girls were taken, suddenly the whole world cared.

Part of the deal western military had with the warlords when entering Afghanistan was to turn a blind eye to the trafficking and rape of boys in a thousand year old trade called Bacha Bazi. The Taliban had made the trade illegal and effectively wiped it out prior to western interference. It's now back in full flow.

Western military personnel were actually put to work guarding spaces in which boys were being raped all day long. They were there to protect the rapists.

The western world are not the good guys in this instance.

Men are always told to stay behind and “take one for the team”. It’s actually sickening. Women on Twitter are making threads about how bad it’s gonna be for women and there not even mentioning how men are being executed.

The situation for men and women is awful. I am a bit tired of seeing articles saying how it will be worst for women while men are literally being executed for opposing them.

I feel like society doesn’t value the sacrifice so many men have made in that war either - it’s still presented as just something bad for women rather than bad for everyone

It's the same with a lot of stuff... for example when people say the Taliban stop girls getting an education. They always forgot that the boys "education" is actually just reading the Koran! Nothing else. So in reality nobody is getting an education but they only focus on girls victimhood.

Women mostly raised the men and made them the way they are. I agree that the women should not be allowed to escape what they foisted on the world. They should have to live in the mess they made. They should have made better choices.

The real disturbing thing is they have been prioritised. I've seen reports indicating some 80% of evacuees were women and girls! What we've been seeing on the news is the aftermath...... Literally, the titanic sinking after all the lifeboats have gone and its 'every man for himself'.......... And yet the level of empathy onlookers have for these desperate men is to call them selfish just for trying to survive. Society is genuinely fucked.

The Taliban, just the same as other right wing groups such as the American Elites, pride themselves on how well they treat their women and attack their enemies by pointing out how poorly they treat their own women. This is how tribal traditional conservatism operates. Under the Taliban girls education improved and they built two women only colleges. They told female administrators they could just go home and still continue to be paid their full salary. The famous religious police of the Taliban was mostly (as is true of all police) there to control men, whom they arrested five times more often than women.

It should be men and children first in my opinion. Who is better to survive a man or woman? It's like when the ship is sinking and they let the women and children on the boat, well who is going to row the boat to safety? Who is going to navigate? Lost in the forest, who is going to cut down trees, build a camp and start a fire?

Could you imagine having your bodily autonomy taken and raped daily, kept in cages with barely enough food to subsist on, then being forced to bear baby after baby for the people who stole you from your home?

The thing is we shouldn't be angry at women just because of modern feminists... As men, we are supposed to protect women, and take care of them. Those women hating on men, they're just not very smart, sure they're loud, but we should try to ignore them and focus on the good ones.

They are evacuating men who have assisted against Taliban as well, it's not a gender thing they are pulling in reality, at least the US.

d..dude? women werent even allowed out of the house without a face covering and a male relative the last time the taliban was in power. if they refused to wear a face covering and/or didnt go out with a male relative they were beaten and raped. death is bad, but honestly id rather be killed than go through what those women had to live with.
