I don't know about you, but I've watched probably 50 documentaries + backstage materials about porn, so I have a pretty good idea what the actual situation is. I bet you haven't watched a single one and your opinion is entirely based on some women on reddit complaining about it and basing it on their feelings.

Most of the actresses who start in the business are inherently much more open minded / perverted. And that's the attitude it takes to be a part of the business. If they are snowflakes and find it extremely offensive/painful, they just won't be able to take it.

It’s not a motte bailey.

The discussion is about why (some) women object to porn. The reasons for that are manifold, and not all women have the same reasons for objecting. Example reasons are: 1) it objectifying women at all, 2) it giving men unrealistic expectations of women’s bodies 3) it giving men poor ideas of how to treat a woman during sex 4) it causing issues for men having real life sex because they have become addicted to porn 5) the industry is corrupt and there are many instances of women who have not consented to their videos being released, being released on sites such as pornhub and these women really struggling to get them taken down (revenge porn), 6) women (and men) being co-erced/manipulated and at the more extreme end trafficked into porn, 7) the very existence of child porn.

Not all people have all of these objections. Some will have different ones. These are just examples.

My original convo on this was with someone claiming (on a Few different threads) that MORE women than men like this more extreme porn and the link you sent doesn’t show that all if you look at the sample size.

It would be interesting if we could get a larger sample size and a more equal sample size of what both men/women look like but I suspect women don’t look at as much porn as men. Also how is this data being collated and knowing if the person looking at porn is male/female?

It’s not that surprising women are looking up things like rape play/being dominated. Look how successful that shades of gray book was. But there are more issues at play when it’s a book/Hollywood style movie than actual played out porn.

I don’t think you can’t see that. I think you just want to shut people down for not being able to debate as well, or who don’t know all the different logical fallacies there are.
