I keep seeing things like this on social media with increasing frequency.

The points that seem to grasp misogyny and patriarchal attributes out of thin air are scary enough. But even worse is when I see things like this the amount of people who always completely agree is absurd. Not one comment even attempts to make a true intellectual discussion by disagreeing and trying to suggest corrections with a single damn point she makes. Even in part.

It honestly scares me how evangelical it all seems to come across as. Especially as they do it to hide under this strain of fake intellectualism that offers no actual critical thought. The woman in the TikTok could very well have good points but this idea that men are awful to women seems to be gospel.

It seems very comparable to a Christian who doesn’t believe the dinosaurs existed stretching any ounce of evidence to fit their narrative. The belief that this, whether it be god or patriarchy, is true comes before anything else and warps their perspective of the world around it.

I’ve seen science delve into the areas of the brain that activate with religious experience. I suspect if you gave evangelical feminists a brain scan those exact areas of the brain would light up like a Christmas tree.
