I was an assistant coach for a softball team and was absolutely MORTIFIED when the male Head Coach taught these teenage girls about the top of the strike zone by physically showing it on their bodies— so yes, he was repeatedly touching their boobs/chests. He also pressed the end of a bat against their chest as another way to indicate the strike zone. Some of the girls felt incredibly uncomfortable and those that had a bat directed at them felt incredibly scared and intimidated because he was a loud, aggressive, 6ft adult male. Some of the mothers watched in horror, while others told me their daughters cried after the training, and a few weeks later those same mothers pulled their daughters out of the team… rightfully so.

I’m still close with those mothers today and they still talk about that terrible training. I left the club not long after so I don’t know what happened to him and if he’s still coaching. He was the father of one of the girls, coaching multiple teams and the club’s PRESIDENT at the time.

I had NEVER in my life thought to coach children by touching all over their body and manhandling them- especially around the boobs/butt or crotch area, and always demonstrated by showing it on my own body or by asking for their permission before attempting to rearrange their stance.

Johnny and Roland did on Schitt's Creek lol. Any time a guy had done this to me (even when I was a kid and the guy wasn't my dad or brothers) I would say WHAT ARE YOU DOING really loud and that would usually get them off of me. Ugh.

That's because there's a population of men who choose to get into coaching children for the very reason of preying on girls. Pedophiles often take interest in girls with absent fathers because they're more vulnerable, and moms may be looking for a father figure for their daughters.
