The famous OKCupid graph showed regardless of male age, men generally rated women of age 20 the highest, and age 20 was the lowest displayed. This is corroborated by Bruch and Newman (2018), which found female desirability is highest at 18 and falls steadily from there, where 18 was the lowest age considered.

Men (regardless of age) indeed don't want older women if younger women are available. However, men are also thirsty, and will bang older women if the opportunity presents itself. Plus, lower chance of accidental pregnancy.
