Didn't want her to go as I'm sure many of you guys felt as well. Looking back, I should have just let her go. Why chase after someone who doesn't want you back? Feelings don't make things true and chasing after women is 100% a bad idea. Don't do it. It will get you nowhere. Trust me here: DO. NOT. PERSUE. It'll feel wrong and may even feel like you're abandoning her. Hell, she might even accuse you of abandonment if you don't give chase. It's a manipulative tactic to squeeze just that much more out of you. Be strong. Don't give in. Be respectful. Ok, advice section over.

A few years later, my wife contacted me asking if I was going to help pay for the divorce cost. I told her no. She's the one that left. She's the one that wants a divorce. She's the one who can pay for it. I was respectful and told her I would give the signatures where needed in order to keep it uncontested (be hard to contest anyway as we didn't have any assets or children). A few months later she emails me asking for my driver's license and other information. Thankfully, my therapist (who, funny enough, has been divorced twice before) said that she never needed to provide that kind of information in any way, shape, or form. I pressed my wife about this and turns out she was trying to use some website to file for divorce. Not wanting my information given to some oddball 3rd party, I said no. I even went 'above & beyond': I gave her the website of the courthouse where she would be filing and could download/print the necessary paperwork.

Months go by with no word. Beginning of December she emails me asking if I was going home for Christmas since she moved back to our tiny hometown and my parents still are. I told her yes. I wasn't giving any extra information unless asked (like when I was getting there and for how long). She hits me up the day after Christmas and I was already states away. I didn't tell her this, but sorry, you are not my priority anymore.

Just today she emails me this: "I need to fill out paperwork. One form needs your driver's license and address where you live. I think I have all the other information. And yes it is going through the _______ county courts."
And another email: "Oh and a phone number"
And another email: "And an employer with information if you have one"
And another email: "Also were you born in 87 or 86"

What in the hell is she trying to get all this information for? And a nice little FU.... pretending you don't remember my birthyear you heartless b!#&%. I've been reading over all the documents needed to get this done from the aspects of both the Petitioner and Respondent at the corresponding courthouse's website... and I'm just not seeing where you would need a lot of this information that couldn't be filled out by me since I'd need to sign the documents anyway. Anybody got any insight as to why she's fishing for so much information? The whole thing seems shady af.
