I (F22) have done lots of self-improvement lately (started working out everyday - not to loose weight but to get abs, quit coffee and sweets, eat only healthy foods, changed my warderobe completely to be more feminine, go to beauticians for treatments ect.), because my bf (M22) of one year asked me to be more feminine and take better care of myself. I'm really happy to do this and I'm feeling better than ever so I share my happiness with him, tell him what I did today or show him a nice new outfit, hairstyle, make-up. He ALWAYS responds with "cute" and when it needed more effort than usual, I get a "supercute". He never calls me "beautiful" or gives me a more elaborate compliment which is a bummer for me. But when my hair looks slightly off or I make a face expression that he didn't like or I "don't sit like a lady" in an office chair, I get immidiately a long elaborated response how I should look like or what to do to fix it. When I take pictures of myself, he comments on the ones where I don't look good (to him) with a "you look slightly weird" or "your hair looks weird on this one" and the good photos get "cute". When we have sexual talks, he only says what he would do to me and never says that my body is beautiful or any remarks regarding my appearance.

I don't want to seem clingy or naggy asking for better compliments when I technically always get one, but on the other hand it bothers me a lot. I had countless conversations with him about what he doesn't like in my appearance and what I should change and I nearly changed all of this by this point and I'm sure I'm doing my absolute best. I'm at loss and don't want to be doomed to be "cute" forever. How should I approach this situation?
