Feminist logic is a prime example of the selection bias and they knowingly take it to the extremes to "prove" whatever they want. They also happily use the definist fallacy, false attribution, fallacy of composition, false equivalence, false dilemma, historian's fallacy, kettle logic, mind projection fallacy... honestly you could randomly throw darts into a board with the full list of formal and informal fallacies and more often than not you'd hit one that not just dominates feminist arguments but it's one of the core elements.

A important argument is also it's logical colloary; if we live in a patriarchy where men are privileged, then men women would be over represented in the worst of people in society. It's reasonable to say the worst of in society is the homeless, and as such they represent who are least privileged in society. As such if men are privileged then most homeless must be women, but as it turns out men are homeless to a vastly greater degree than women. Ergo, women are privileged and we live in a matriarchy.

The Patriarchy is a social theory justifying all of feminism. I think it goes back at least as long ago as the Seneca Falls Feminist Convention of 1848.

Even if I agree with some random wierdo that we live in patriarchy, its not my fault...

This supposed 'patriarchy' never benefited me.
I had to compete with girls in school to get grades.
I had to compete with them for college education.
I had to compete for job and promotions too..

When I was working hard, girls of my age were having party nights....
When I was raking up my credentials, they were raking up their 'body counts'.

If now I am sucessful. And better than 95% women, that is not because of 'patriarchy'. It's because of my hard-work and a bit of extra time I had due to not wasting it on frivolous activities.
My success is because of hard-work (not my gender). As is the case of 99.99% successful men.

Patriarchy doesn't benefit men. It actually benefits women by pushing for gynocentric laws, male-only draft, and even gender-biased rape and DV laws.. (All with the support of feminism)...

Pointing to successful men and calling it 'patriarchy' is sexist. The success of men is not due to our gender. Its due to our intelligence, hard-work and perseverance.
[That's why I always say -- feminist judge people with what is between their legs instead of what is between their ears]

Its not that women aren't capable of success. But some women take the easier route--- marry a successful man...
Men do not have that option. That's why you see more men at the top than women..

Its not patriarchy.. Even if it is, women are as much to be blamed for it as men. After all, they are ones with more choice in dating.

One may also consider that most of those very same men at the top of the social hierarchy have wives (in fact, a man's income is positively correlated with his chances of getting married) who profit from their husbands' efforts and sacrifices without moving a finger.

Just because a Human being has a vagina and holds an elected or appointed public office, does that warrant extra praise by default in your mind? In mine it certainly does not. Unless they're doing an exceptional public service and perhaps to a reasonable extent some extra praise would be alright. But not the default notion of what you said, never.

To be fair, things are completely different now, but the patriarchy did exist in the past not long ago which is actually why the term was founded. Yes nowadays women are very much included in everything, but it wasn't always like this and I feel like this sub refuses to acknowledge that.

No, it isn’t a lie. It’s just not what feminism defines it as.

Women have the rights they do, because men like us believed it was the right thing to do, so we created the laws that protect them and their rights.

bruh this aint true. might be for the USA but not all the countries. yes there are women in all the fields, but thats becoz the law treats them equal. there are many places where women are still treated as shit. even in my country. even though in law all are equal, many people are still tainted with patriarchal mindset and we need to agree that both men and women are affected by patriarchy.
