Let's be real. The whole point about only fans, being a streammer, prostitute or whatever is ridiculous. Anyone who works in those things will tell you that the market is very competitive and very few people can make a comfortable living from those things. 1- Women do get more attention from men, but often it's the wrong kind of attention. Someone who seemed like a good-looking safe pair of hands could easily turn out to be a psychopath. I don't know a single woman who hasn't got a horror story of some kind whether it's someone physically abusive or mentally. So yeah, you don't get tons of messages, but at the same time, any partner you do find is less likely to hold physical power over you.

2- In terms of work, the gender pay gap is real. Even if you justify it by saying women are more likely to have kids etc, that still means a loss of earnings. What's more, if a woman does have kids, that means they basically can't earn, and are either going to be dependent on their partner (who could easily be resentful or abusive) or are forced to re-enter the workforce trusting someone else to take care of their newborn, which is heartbreaking. Also, parenthood is incredibly hard (at least as hard as a job), and unpaid. Also, some men might abandon their partner, leaving them with no choice but to claim state support, which can lock you in poverty and comes with a ton of stigma

3- Women have to do a lot to meet certain beauty standards that men don't. You can get a $20 hair cut, take a shower and throw on a flannel shirt and you're basically good to go. Formal event? Your wardrobe is already picked out for you. Shirt and a suit. Extra formal? Tuxedo. Men don't even need to brush their hair.

I'm not saying being a man is easy, btw. I personally find it pretty hard. It's not the main thing that makes life difficult for men or women though. A higher class woman will have an easier life than a working class man and vice versa.

I’ll try to give u an honest answer bc I feel like u are sincerely asking and seeking answers. There’s way too much going on here for me to possibly try to explain every point u have brought up so I’ll generalize and hope this works: your opinion is VERY skewed on women. Why wouldn't a woman want to do sex work? Well, for one, sex work is actually quite difficult. It seems easy to make money off platforms like OF because you are only looking at the top earners since they get the most attention. The average OF content creator struggle to make ends meet just from this content alone; it's only really profitable when used as a pyramid scheme through the affliate codes. Even being a sugar baby is dangerous because there are people actively trying to take advantage of you for sex or otherwise without paying or people who think they own you if they throw enough money at you or even stalkers which is a massive problem in the sex industry.

As for looksmaxing- it's not quite as easy as you claim. I am gonna start with your point about just putting on makeup. The pressure for women to look beautiful without makeup exists- do you not remember the old "take her swimming on the first date" jokes? Even asking a woman to wear makeup regularly is a several hundred dollar to thousand dollar regular yearly investment (not including time taken for proper application and removal- because the removal process is also important). Okay, so say we remove makeup, then 1) that area for looksmaxing is gone and 2) she gets shamed for looking sickly and told how much better she would look wearing makeup. How a woman looks without makeup is often used as a way to "humble" women by impressing upon them that they are not as good looking as you think they are. As for weight- also not quite as easy. Women's bodies like to hold onto fat more due to hormones. It's less of men liking a wider range of women so much as men liking more extremes in women. You have petite and slender- so generally thin-, curvy- but still has to have a flat stomach, and even then, everything is gonna get accused of being a fat roll-, or fat- but a very specific, hourglass figure, type of fat. The variety is often fetishists being thrown in for diversity points. It's less of a gradient and more of series of boxes.

Also, just because a guy is willing to have sex with you, though, does not mean that he actually finds you attractive. Men will have sex with women they find unattractive because they want to have sex. A lot of fat women get attention because there is a belief that fat women are more desperate to find someone to have sex with them so they are more likely to put out.

Exchange muscle building genes for favorable fat distribution and lift heavy weight for cardio, though some women do still have to lift heavy as well to be considered to have a good body, and you have the same thing for women. This also does not take into account other things that women do that men prefer but only notice when they stop doing such as hair care, nail care, and hair removal. Beauty is a multi-billion dollar industry for a reason.

As for dating, yes, women tend to get an overwhelming amount of messages from men. I will not argue that trend, and it can be an enviable position to be in when you get no attention. I've been in that position; I have heard my female friends talking about the street harassment they get and, on one hand, I understand how demeaning and terrible it can feel for them to have guys look at them as just sex objects, some who won't take 'no' for an answer; but on the other hand, I cannot help but be envious of the external validation they get of their looks and knowing that someone wants you even if it's just for sex. The only street harrassment I get is men that I don't know and never met before yelling about how they will murder me if they see me again and how "my blood will run down these streets" (actual quote). Or how they reject guys and have random men shoot their shot while I have had to do the approach and get rejected repeatedly, and I understand not wanting to do the rejecting because it can be emotionally taxing- I have rejected one person in my entire dating history, and it was because I was already engaged at the time but felt terrible afterwards because I know how taxing it is to ask someone out; but I also sometimes think it would be nice to not be the one being told "no", "not interested", or "ew" (never say 'ew'; it's so mean).

However, just because you have more options does not mean that the dating scene is necessarily easier. There are a lot of guys who want to use women for sex and are willing to string them along with false promises. To pull a specific example, this has been problematic for my sister who is abstinent because a lot of guys do not want to hear 'no sex until marriage', including the religious, ones so they try to pressure her. There is also the fear that them saying "no" will make them the next story on r/ whenwomenrefuse because you don't know how that person will take it. While yes, some women don't take rejection well, men often do not have that same fear of a woman physically or sexually assaulting them since women are often smaller and lighter while women often have this fear of unknown men who are if not taller then often also/or heavier than her having a bad reaction. They also get terrible stories from friends like my one friend who gave a guy a chance and was then freaking out about whether or not him pulling up to her place with a gun really was a joke, or my other friend who gave a guy a chance and wound up getting stalked and harassed- and these were guys they met IRL and not on the apps at all.

Having a lot of options ain't great when you have limited resources and ways to see if they are gonna go crazy on you. So,

This is something talked about in r/ lonely on and off- it's not either gender that holds all the power in the relationship, it's the person who has the least to lose. This in particular came up when someone talked about making a dating app specifically for lonely people- it's a terrible idea because if people are scared that if things don't work out with this one person then they are back to being forever alone, so they have to do whatever it takes to make this relationship work. It meant that the primary demographic for this dating app were overwhelmingly the profile of people susceptible to abusive relationships. This is not a gendered issue- both men and women were terrified and have stayed in bad relationships because they feared being alone even more. That desperation you describe in men is also seen in women, even in that 18 to 24 age group, because dating is about a lot more than just sex.

Okay, if you are generally trying to learn, please here me out:

First, no, dating is not easier as a woman. If you are an attractive woman, sure, that gives you an advantage in attracting people. It does not give an automatic advantage of attracting only loving, committed kind men. A lot of attractive women attract creeps. Creeps who try to grope them in bars. Creeps who follow them home. Creeps that try to rape them. This happens A LOT. Hell, I'm not even very attractive and I remember a few months ago being harassed by a creepy drunk guy in a gang of his friends. It was terrifying, and the only thing that helped was another man stepping in to help. And those are the obvious creeps. There's plenty of less obvious creeps like lovebombers, men just trying to get in your pants then leave you, men who start off sweet but turn out to be abusive etc. who can get into your life and only show their true colours when it's too late.

If you're an ugly woman though? Oh boy it fucking sucks. Take it from an overweight woman, you are bullshitting if you think it's easier for us. It isn't. Not helping is that in a lot of cases, a positive trait in men is seen as negative in women (e.g. an outspoken man is a "natural leader" an outspoken woman is a "bossy cow")

And yes, there are plenty of jobs that, despite providing a great deal to society, get paid badly, some of which are male dominated. The problem lies mostly with capitalism.

Furthermore, a big problem with our society is the "man as default" attitude (as in "if things effect men differently to how they effect women, then men will be used as the default"). You know many women die in car accidents because car companies only use crash test dummies made with typical male body shapes and weight?
