Anyone here who is struggling with infertility?

Was diagnosed with PCOS before I got married, so I knew that we might have some fertility issues going into our marriage. I started learning and using the Creighton model to chart my cycle and fertility symptoms, and was able to get on a progesterone supplement that regulated my cycle and allowed my husband and I to conceive. Our baby will be born in July. I am very grateful to the Creighton method, my fertility care practitioner, and my ob/gyn for educating and supporting my husband and I.

I did. We tried for years with no luck. Finally we got a semen analysis and the results were not good. He acted like he didn’t care. We did IVF and the process took 8 months from the consultation to the frozen embryo transfer. It was absolutely the worst experience of my life. I was not an anxious person before starting IVF. It really put a huge strain on our marriage, and the hormones made me feel so out of control. I was not myself during that time. Honestly, nothing made me feel better during this time. Infertility makes you a shell of who you once were. I tried going to a support group and making a secret Instagram account just for infertility/IVF. That sort of helped. I didn’t talk to my husband about how I was feeling because I knew he couldn’t understand and anyway it would just get me all hysterical and he hates when I do that. It was a very isolating experience overall. I didn’t feel normal until the frozen transfer was finally done.

I did and have kind of given up at this point. I refuse to do medical intervention though because I know it would send me into an anxious, depressed mental state. My husband has alluded to it being a possibility for us, but I'm of the mind that if it happens it happens. If it doesn't, I'm very happy living childfree with my husband and our dogs. Also my husband has never been super excited about having children.

Yes, turns out I have endometriosis even though I don't get really painful periods. Will get surgery for it next month and see if it helps.

I’m sort of in the very early stages of realizing infertility may be an issue for us. We’ve been in the “if it happens it happens” camp since I’ve been off birth control for a few years and last year was when I started to keep a loose eye on my ovulation and comparing it to when we were having sex (still not really “trying” on purpose). The last 3 months I have been trying: temping everyday with a tempdrop, testing LH with test strips for the days leading up to ovulation, timing sex near my ovulation, etc. and today is another cycle day 1. My periods are on time every month, my temps confirm ovulation, LH testing confirms peak numbers, and I’ve been starting to observe CM more closely as well which seems to have been normal this cycle too.

I’m 33 and my partner is 42 though so I’m probably going to schedule a call with a fertility specialist this month to get some answers.
