First hand experience between life as a man and life as a woman. —— female to male transgender individuals really are an amazing resource to mens rights. The first time I really started thinking about the inequalities men face was when I read the testimony of a FTM person and how socially cripplingly isolating it was to be a man.

They talked about how everywhere they went they were seen as a predator. No one made eye contact. No one smiled. Everyone looked away. But when women walk into a room it’s not like that.

And they wrote that they now understood how men end up emotionally repressed or angry or feeling lonely and defeated. And that they never would have known if they hadn’t transitioned.

Reading that made me think. What else are men experiencing? What is happening that our friends, neighbors, brothers, fathers and husbands think the word feminism is a war cry that we hate men?

And I started reading the things people wrote about their husbands. Listening to the things people said when I talked about mine.

I had to fight so hard to get my therapist to understand my marital problems weren’t because of a bad husband.

And that’s when I realized that the same misogyny that was killing women was killing men. Just like Misandry has always been the enemy of any sane woman.

Long story short. Hi.
