I've just came across this thread which has people falling all over themselves to rationalise slitting a baby boy's throat, and how 'concerned' they are that genealogy is now leading to a witch-hunt.

From what I've seen of these subreddits, these are normally populated by the bloodthirst type, who desperately want to see vengeance for the victims, and justice for the murderers. They've also been understandably licking their lips at the advancement of geneology in solving crimes.

But curiously here it's the opposite.

It really speaks to something I always see: no-one considers mental health when heinous crimes are committed by men, but it's the first response when women commit them. Like we as a society are incapable of seeing women as not victims.
