It’s mainly because women care more about appearances and cleanliness. Even though the man doesn’t gaf the women wants him too. It’s something that should be discussed more.

So, in the egalitarian relationship, women assume the role of the manager, killing the egalitarianism, then complain about added mental load? Sounds about right.

I have noticed that when I do things my way, it's almost never good enough for her. She always has to have everything her way. She laughs at my "incompetence" even though I am perfectly fine living like that.

To clarify, I'm not talking about one girl in particular, they have all been like that. Personally, that's fine by me. One way works, other ways work too. Put in the dishes the way you want me to, fold the laundry like that. Just tell me how and let me get it over with.

But if you constantly think you know better, as long as it is not something super critical, just say how you want it. Don't complain about mental load...

Yeah, the woman manages the household duties. Not that complicated. I help where I deem appropriate. This sounds about right to me. I work more hours, am in school to further my trade, and make the vast majority of the dollar bills.

What I don’t get is where did the notion that house work is hard even come from at all? Most of the household tasks I can think of are not that time consuming and don’t even need to be done daily. Cooking might be an exception, but not everything needs to get an elaborate meal either.

Pretty damn true. Why I refuse to do shit for the guy I rent a room to. I demand all our shit be separate because I know damn well once we start sharing meals, chores, etc. it's gonna end up me doing all of it.

Happened to my aunt. Got a male roommate. Ended up having to be his caretaker basically. Happened to all female or female presenting once they cohabitate with a cis man.

This is why I think 50/50 in bills is not fair in relationships. I will gladly clean an entire home and take care of everything, cook and childcare but the man better be providing. Otherwise it’s unfair for women: most of the time in modern society they are expected to work full time jobs and still do a majority of childcare and house keeping. And also all the child bearing.
