Well if you’re broke even eating is expensive. Kids are expensive, weddings and rings are expensive, clothes are expensive, homes are expensive… all things men also partake in. Expensive dates every weekend? That’s just irresponsible. Man or woman

Then work on changing that. Work on building a future for yourself and quit being broke (yes, easier said than done, but it IS worth the time & effort). You might be surprised what doors can open for you when you quit being defeatist and actually do something with your life.

Also, women aren't necessarily as expensive as you assume. Just worry about you and your own expenses. If you turn yourself into somebody she wants to be with, she won't need to be bought.

Dude, life is expensive. If you have resolved to be a broke man with no future, focus on that and working on that situation. Don't worry about women right now if you're too broke to take care of yourself.

You don't sound like you're in a good headspace to date anyways. Work on yourself and then your perspective on dating will likely change. Until then, don't worry about women and what you imagine they all want and need.

Women don't want expensive necessarily, but they would prefer a guy who has their shit together. So being "broke with no future" is indeed unattractive generally, but not for the reasons you seem to think.

How does any of it mean women are expensive? You get married, have wedding, buy home and have kids for your self as well. It’s not like your doing women a favor by doing all these. You don’t have to go to expensive dates if u don’t want to and if you want to split then date women who are ok with that.

Uh. 1. Men participate in all of those expensive things too. You live in the house. You raise the kids. You're married in the wedding. Men wear rings...so quit blaming their price on women.

Just date women who make their own money? I paid for my own wedding, split the cost of the wedding rings with my husband (and we bought them from walmart), we take turns paying for date night and we both contribute to the kiddo's bills.

Women aren't nearly as materialistic as it is often portrayed. Don't chase a woman who expects you to pay for everything, look for someone who wants an equal relationship. I like to go shopping, too, but I would never ask my bf or husband to pay for it.

Most women are in debt they dont have actual wealth. They're good at taking loans out and slaving away to pay bills and swipe up the credit card

Doesn't matter how much money you have. Women are far more expensive than men. They're hyper consumers and resource extractors and I don't mean that in a shameful tone, it's just the truth.

80% of money spent are spent by women (at least in the states). Women also hold 80% of the national debt. Women want a guy that brings in more resources than he consumes. You do the math on why 🤣

That's most women, not all. You can find a good, more practical woman but you also need to get your ish together

Some women are greedy. Some are not.

The problem is you waste way too much time and energy chasing after the greedy kind. Instead of wasting years away trying to win over a woman who doesn't care about you, instead try going after women who care about the things you can provide.

I mean this in the least offensive way possible, but sometimes I swear the stories I read on her are ridiculous. I'm a 5'7" guy who is way too frugal to justify spending money on "expensive" dates, or buying frivolous gifts. I'm the kind of guy who'd "meh" when my exes asked me to buy them flowers for Valentine's day. They're expensive and they die. I'm not buying you no flowers, lol... I'm tight with my money.

So for me being "short" compared to the bullshit I read on here, and for me not throwing out money--I've never had a problem with finding a date. The secret ingredient is having a decent personality and taking shots.

If you can hold a conversation, and you're not pug-fugly, just strike up conversations with people. Make friends. Get your friends to help you find relationships. Ask friends for advice. Be a friend back. Help them with advice.

Life can be like a video game if you think about it sometimes. Start with one friend. Then make another. Make lots of friends. Rely on them to help you. If you want to get a job or advance, ask your friends for advice. Listen to their advice. You can crowd-source solutions FOR FREE! Friends are FREE!

And if you're a great guy with great friends, getting into a relationship is just a time thing. Friends love hooking other friends up.

I know this came off ranty, but God does it get annoying to hear people day after day make excuses and blame random bullshit for their problems. YOU ARE EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.

Admit the problems. If you can't make friends because you're anti-social. Hate people? Have anxiety? BLAME THAT STUFF! Throwing out this "Yeah, it must be the women who are wrong!" is going to get you nowhere.

I'll admit that fixing yourself and finding friends isn't easy if you have mental illness, but at least be honest about the real reason you can't find a partner. It's better to have mental-illness and be honest with yourself than have mental-illness and lie about it.

At least if you're honest, you can begin making a change for the better.

My partner and I split everything 50/50 - we don’t live beyond our means as we are both students but we make it work.

As others have said, women are not as materialistic as red pill ideology tries to make you believe. The only ‘gifts’ my partner and I buy each other are little treats, second hand books, or Knick knacks haha. In the past I’ve had boyfriends buy me bracelets rings and earrings but that was never what I wanted and I never asked for it. If anything, it felt like a waste of money (and I love jewellery!). I just wanted their time and kindness.

Dates don’t have to be expensive as well. In our early days, my partner and I used to go to the supermarket and get veggies, flatbread, dips, and a cheap bottle of wine and then go enjoy it by the river. It was beautiful!

And in the case of weddings, rings, houses etc - most people split that down the middle. However, I am expected to make more money than my partner and I believe it should be equitably split so I am more than happy to pay a bit more so that he doesn’t take a huge hit.

Nothing is ever as simple as red pill ideology makes out.
