Most of the pain relievers used were in fact developed by men. She’d be in more pain, not less if not for pain relief brought to her by men.

She’s also paid equally to men, despite not being as good as men. (Source). In other words, men are subsidizing her.

Why haven't women, the majority gender, done their own research and solved their own problems? Why are only 1 in 20 winners of the Nobel Prize in medicine women? Where are the massive waves of women who want to spend their lives doing research to solve these problems? Well here's the reality. A host of men and women have been working on finding a solution to endometriosis and PMT for decades, with some dedicating their life's work to these issues. Their work has been relentless, frustrating, and without reward, but many have continued regardless of the impact on their careers and earnings, because they care about the pain and suffering experienced by women.
