The people who tell men to "show their emotions" don't realize that men learned the hard way, from a very young age, that doing so comes at a heavy price and brings no benefit whatsoever.

They think men are being stupid for not showing their emotions because "hey, it works for women so just do what women do you stupid guys. Women are smart you see so you learn from the clever girls how to be good ~~women~~ people".

Here's a truly radical idea: How about we assume for a change that men know what they're doing and quite correctly decide not to show their emotions because life is already hard enough without the consequences that would bring.

This is what truly gets my gall whenever they talk about helping men. This obsession, fixation, with men feeling the need to open up about their feelings and cry. Treating male tears like a rare treasure fit for a museum (when they're not busy sipping on them from cups, that is.)

Little are they aware that it comes with a price. Does this person truly want the whole nine yards from men in terms of emotion and sensitivity? In the long run?

No, she won't. Because stoicism is still a valued asset of male personality. Taking charge, providing, being the first to rush into danger in order to protect her life, all this she will still covet in spades. When her future partner is crying his eyes out all the time, blubbering, that's going to get old very fast and she will dump him in a heartbeat.

It's why men choose not to show emotion. That catch-22: Show too much emotion, we lose anyway.

They also made it political. Getting us to open up before dropping the "sorry, you're a white-male with privilege. Your issues are erasing women's issues." bombshell and criticizing us for "Mansplaining" and "Insecurity".

Men don't bottle it up because they WANT to. They HAVE to, no matter how many times you assure them "Hey, it's okay to cry and express sensitivity". We can read the fine print crystal clear that comes with your standards.

This is partly why teaching boys that their goal should be to go out of their way please women is counterproductive. Some of them, like this cunt, are impossible to please either way

So men should show their emotions, if that's what he's more comfortable with. Or keep their emotions hidden, if that's what he's more comfortable with. Because what's the point of trying to cater to women's or society's expectations when either way he's shamed?

I’ve been through my own crap in the last few years.

I’ve tried dating. Tried to find someone to enjoy this new life with.
Every time a new woman will push me to open up. I’ll resist. They push and push to get inside me.
Inevitably I get convinced they are different and I can trust them. Then I open up.
Same shit every time. They might think they want to know but my experience is that they say that to feel good. Once you open up the timer starts. You never know how long you have but it’s going to end. Soon. Just my experience but, in my opinion, women don’t really want to see that.

This is why trying to capitulate to what feminists claim they want from you is a waste of time. We can't ask them to be consistent in their movement when they can't even be consistent in themselves. Male tears are actually one of the most powerful forces in the universe. They are able to cause nausea to everybody in the vicinity and are also able to force everybody to spin and face away from the source.

The huddle and weep approach which women seem to prefer when dealing with stress or trauma won't work for most men. The male auto response is "do something". From what I've seen over years with male victims of sexual abuse it's essential to connect them with other males in the same boat and get them doing things together. This is why the gradual closure of male only environments is such a tragedy and is contributing to high suicide rates.
